Asunción is by far one of the most beautiful places in Margarita, despite not having the sea, being surrounded by mountains, and close to the Valle del Espíritu Santo, it is the most colonial city and full of history as it is the capital.
It was founded in 1562, it has the oldest church in Venezuela called "Catedral Nuestra Señora de La Asunción" with a very tall and muddy structure on the outside, inside it is very pretty, white and with details that denote its antiquity.
Next to the Church is one of my favorite places, which is the artisan shopping center "El Güire" where there are souvenir shops, a cafeteria, a chocolate shop, artisan jewelry and even a fountain of wishes.
On the 5 de Julio boulevard there are even more shops, I particularly like this year the side of the church, ideal for a coffee or a pizza.
Every place in Asunción seems to me a perfect place to take photos, the colonial houses, the small streets and its people, so kind and helpful.
In the space where the church is, or the center of the Assumption, there are a thousand things to do and see. We have the house of culture, the orchestra system, the Nueva Cádiz museum, the artisan shopping center, two squares divided by the boulevard, on the left side of the church the Plaza Bolivar de la Asunción and on the right side the Plaza Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi, a fighting woman with an incredible story that I hope to be able to tell you soon.
If you come to Margarita you cannot miss visiting this place, two minutes from the Church we also have the Fort of Santa Rosa. Another place to add to the list.
I am a very adventurous person, who loves to visit places and explore. And I would always like to come back here to have coffee or buy a snail bracelet.
This is how my post ended today, I hope you liked it and I will see you soon with another place to visit💕🦋
Greetings. I totally agree with you that it seems like every corner is conducive to a photo. Beautiful colors, very vibrant.
