Guess what? I can predict the weather will be either cold or raining or otherwise crappy weeks and even months in advance. All I need to do is reserve and prepay for camping sites and POOF! Seasonally warm days, and night, will instantly turn into cold and rainy on those very days before returning to warm and again the very next day... Damn
So once again we are rained out of our camping trip we planned over a month ago. A little rain we could handle but get this, this weekend, was the earliest first frost in our areas on freaking record!!! bring the temps to the low 40's and even some areas dipping in the thirties (Fahrenheit) of all the days (and all the years for that manner) this had to happen...
I don't mean to complain (maybe a bit) just needed a vent. I know this is a minor inconvenience compared to the million-plus people who have currently driven away from their homes in California due to massive wildfires, including my wife's father) so to complain about this seemingly trivial. not to mention our local Halloween shop opens up today where I am sure to give in to my son's request for wolverine claws and or something related to Micheal Jackson... and where my wife will no doubt find something as well...maybe I should hide the credit cards now...
I'm going to go now before I keep ranting too much. I'd be better off picking up a pen and attempting to draw something or maybe just enjoy my coffee and silence before the rest of the family wakes up.
I hope to post a second @engagetheweekend by Sunday where I can talk about what we did in lue of the cold and rainy weather.

yup, there's always more camping trips to look forward too, unfortunately that will be next year at this point I the season. But we can always drive down for the say or his up the parks.
Yep, we do day trips when a camping sesh isn't possible...Not as good but way better than nothing.

I hate when stuff like this happens. I ride my motorcycle rain or shine but draw the line at cold. It can be dangerous when you start to shiver and input steering.
Not that I haven't ridden in a little cold...

I'm not much for cold either and when combined with rains it's that much worst... the funny thing is on Tuesday the temp is supposed to read in the 80's.
