Thanks to @galenkp for giving us a community to celebrate our weekends in! My weekend was filled with family, good food and lots of soccer!
I love weekends! My kids and grandkids were all in and out all weekend and my house was a 'hive' of activity!
I'll start with Batman (aka my nephew in law... Is that a thing? ) on the beach in Sochi, Russia.
Being Batman is hard work.
My granddaughter was the family celebrity on Saturday in a summer production of Madagascar
She was a lemur!
My son and grandson sticker bombed my mobility scooter with F1 and McClaren stickers when they were here two weeks ago. I'm now the coolest grandma in the neighborhood.
I'm looking forward to Silverstone next weekend! Go Lando.
My grandson was at a robotics team meet on Saturday morning.. He is the pit crew for robot repairs! I love how his face lights up when he tells me about the inner workings of their robot.

My wonderful daughter in law fertilized and watered all my flowers, and my son did all sorts of necessary chores around the house and yard.

Who wouldn't want to be a lemur?
This looks like a great weekend for sure. That robotics thing was particularly interesting, not that I'm smart enough for robotics though. There's a show on TV in which teams build machines "robots" that fight each other. It's called Battlebots and I watch it now and then. Sort of cool to see all those tech-geeks get violent through their creations. Lol.
Lastly, I reckon that scooter is good for P4 at silverstone this week.
The robots name is Ferradermis. (literally Iron Skin) They have most recently taught him to climb.
When that whole geeky process was explained to me I just nodded and smiled and did not understand a word! My grandson has spent time brainstorming over how he could super charge my scooter. P4 might be in his plans, too!
It sounds like your grandson will have a future in robotics...And the world's fastest grandma! 😬
He is a brilliant guy and it will be such fun to see where he goes in life. Both he and my lemur granddaughter are at the top of their class and astonish me with their knowledge. I'm a super proud grandma.
They'll carry your legacy forward.
We also have a very popular topic among children - the construction of robots.
While studying at the university, my daughter went to schools and taught elementary school children the basics of robotics.
And her graduation work from the university was related to robots.
Robotics is fascinating and will be so useful for them in the future. Even my granddaughter is involved and has learned to solder and do the wiring. It will be useful knowledge for them all in the future.

Nice weekend! How did your granddaughter end up in Sochi? It’s Russia!
My daughter-in-law is Circassian and lived in Sochi before meeting and marrying my son and moving to Chicago. Her brother and his family still live there.
You had an eventful weekend from different dimension but in all, it was all fun and memorable.
Being Mr. Richman in the day and saving the city as Batman at night is surely not an easy job. The look on your nephew's face when he was resting speaks volume 😂.

My son and daughter in law sent him the batman costume last winter and now he is Batman on most days!

That is some serious young engineers at work.
They are very serious and work hard to win the competitions and make their robot complete all the tasks assigned to it. They often win the competitions against other schools.
