Hello friends,
Yesterday we spent the day in Temecula, CA. Temecula is located in Riverside county, in the great Los Angeles area, even though it is closer to downtown San Diego, then downtown Los Angeles. It is a known tourist destination because of the multiple wineries in the area. There are so many wineries, and most of them are located in Rancho California Rd. When you drive east, you just see one next to the other, you drive for miles looking at grape vines on the side of the road. Some are big, some smaller, some are more fancy, some will have restaurants and hotels as well. It has a little bit of everything. We have been there a few times, and every time we try to go to a different winery. Our first stop this time was at Longshadow Ranch Winery, we chose this one because we wanted a quick bite to eat, but not a fancy restaurant, and they had an outdoor barbecue. They also had a small petting zoo that my daughter loved. I forgot to take pictures there, but at least I got a couple of pictures of the Llama they had in the petting zoo. The day was very hot, so we had a bottle of cold white wine. It was delicious and refreshing. From there we decided to check out another winery, so we went to Callaway Winery. Callaway is a very famous and one of the biggest wineries in the area. They have some amazing views, as you can see in the pictures, so we sat outside and we got a nice bottle of a very cold and dry rosé. I got a few pictures there as you can see. Then, to finish the day, we drove to Old Town Temecula. The town still looks a bit like the old days of the gold rush, the main street still have some constructions from the 1800's. It was a super fun day.
