Great week everyone, starting off a great weekend in whatever you decide to do.
Do you work on the weekend?
What would you rather be doing instead and why?
Use your own photos.
Currently, my working condition is indefinite vacation (that's what I call being Retired) zero schedules, no work meetings, zero weekly planning required by superiors.
In retrospect, for several years I did work a lot on weekends, pleasant experiences, of commitments acquired, with punctual working days on Saturdays, almost all day long.
In addition to the first job, I worked from Monday to Friday from 7 am to 12 m; the second one I started at 3 pm until almost 9 pm, on Saturdays I used to give courses at academic level for several hours.
In those days, I did it with pleasure because I liked it and it was another source of income that allowed me to play with my accounts and financial advances to achieve comfort in my home.
Yes, there were times when I really didn't want to be there, I wanted to be at home with my children, sharing with them, doing housework, like a housewife, enjoying my roof, doing the chores without rushing, even the clothes I wanted to change, walking in shorts in the comfort of my home.
Going out on Saturday afternoons to walk with my children, enjoying an ice cream without pressure of any kind, listening to them tell their stories, and being at home to collaborate with them in the progress of their homework, things pending for the following week.
In the present time, I do enjoy going out on weekends when the conditions are right, financially and in terms of time...weekends are something else for me.
One of the things I allow myself is to write on Saturday afternoon, to walk on Sunday even in the afternoon, to observe the passers-by, to watch their walk, fast, slow, smiling faces or tired faces.
Sometimes, I think...maybe that's how they watched me in those times. Because even if you don't want it, fatigue does its thing when we do various work activities, mine were at the level of education, the difference was at different levels, high school and university...both required efforts, one more physical, the other more knowledge.
Children are very exhausting, it is not only the programmed content but also the behavior they show during the school year, I don't want to go back to those times.
Now, I enjoy my days without pressure, if I want to read, I read, if I want to write I do it (because I keep my personal manuscript, something like a diary of the changes that I see in me, in these years) with the activities that I have chosen to do in my personal growth releasing the intellectual, as they say over there and it happens to me at this time to be more organic, trying not to contaminate myself, we are human and sometimes we fall, the important thing is to be aware and ask myself how does this benefit me?
