I'll try to be real...
The question is;
You have $1,000 to spend on anything you like over one weekend. It's for entertainment purposes though so you can't give it away, invest it or save it - the money must be spent on your weekend activities. Explain what you do, where you go and who you take with you (if anyone). Talk about the activities, the aftermath, or whatever!
If I'm correct, $1000 is like about 45,000 or 50,000 naira over here in Nigeria, mehn that's huge to spend on a weekend o but for the sake of this contest I'll talk about what I could possibly use it for.
The front view of where I stay is fading, tattered and pulling out day by day. The materials that were used to make the house comfortable for us to stay has torn and become worn out.
It's a rented apartment so it is our duty as the occupant of the apartment to do something about it. It has become something we think of and worry ourselves on how to renew it cos most times, we all go out and coming back we see that it has fallen or when breeze is blowing it usually falls too.
I feel ashamed most times about it and to make everything worst, the house is just be the roadside where everybody pass everyday. Most times, we sit close to it so as to ensure we hold it with our hands or something strong so it won't fall.
So if I should have $1000, I would be the happiest person on earth cos I'll use that money to make sure I renovate everywhere and make it suitable for me and my family.
It's something I've had in mind to do but because the funds are not available right now, I look pass it and do nothing about it.
Because of that, I can't bring my friends who have been longing to visit me home, it's so sad and I just wish and pray God will answer and make a way for us soonest cos it's tiring and shameful 🤦.
I think 30,000 will be the total amount I get to spend on that. And the remaining cash left, I would have used it to stock up the house with food items and probably take my family out to chill in any eatery.
It's been long we went out as a family so that would have been an opportunity for me to ensure we all go out there and have fun as a family.
But on the contrary, if I see that kind of money this weekend, I'll be so happy Sha oo. Let me stop before I become too emotional.

You need to source all pictures no matter what, and when you have the ability to ask a user if you can use a photo, like you could have with me, then you need to do so, then source it.

Whilst it is great what you would do with 1000 dollars, you should be sourcing all pictures and images that you use here on hive.
Thank you for your comment. When I saw my photo used...well, I wasn't best pleased. Even if she sourced it as mine I'd not be happy. She has the ability to ask and so should have. Let's see if it gets changed.
It is a big issue, sometimes ignorance just needs a wee word of advice to sort out. I need to write mine soon, once I find a suitable picture, I do like yours though🤣

No problem, my advice is if in doubt, don't. Unless we have our own pictures then I use pixabay and mention the source and link it, much easier and not breaking any copywriter laws that way. Thanks for doing that and good luck in the contest.
