Good day people! Are you ready to unleash a new journey and understand a new heritage from the Queen City of the South “Cebu City” I am Michelle Alquizalas, I am 21 years old originally from Tabunoc Talisay City, Cebu. Come and explore and get ready to be inspired of my journey!
I am a 3rd year college student at Cebu Technological University Naga Extension Campus, taking the course of Bachelor in Elementary Education Major in General Content. My hobbies are dancing, singing, watching movies especially Korean dramas, writing stories, taking pictures or documenting scenarios and I also love reading books like stories from Wattpad. When I watch movies, I am not just watching it, but I also get a lesson that I could relate and apply to my actions/life. These hobbies are my therapy because we can’t deny the fact that attending or going to school makes us exhausted, nervous, and sometimes I will go to school without having a breakfast. So, by having hobbies I can cope the stress that I am are experiencing in my life. By reading books we can improve our reading skills and not just that we can also improve our comprehension skills; by reading books we can also get a lessons and motivations that can help to our lives.
Capturing moments or documenting scenarios is also my hobby because capturing photos or videos is also fun and you have a representation of that particular events in your life, remembering those events may lead to longing of people, events and especially the feelings or emotion that you’ve feel during those moments. Our experiences or memories won’t stay forever but the emotions we felt during those times will be engraved to our hearts. Having memories with someone you love is a crucial part of our lives because we humans will not stay forever in this world, but we should be happy that our God let us live the life we want. So, while we are still alive and having the best moments of our lives, we should be grateful and be happy on what we have. I know that sometimes we have rough times in our lives, but the occurring challenges is normal because that’s a part of living in this world. God let us live and have challenges in our lives because he knows that we can surpass those challenges and problem. So every time that there will be problems or challenges will occur, we should accept and fight because everything happens for a reason.
When I was in elementary days, I want to become a writer as a matter of fact I wrote a story about a girl and a boy who is an alien. I wrote the story on my tiny little notebook but suddenly the tiny little notebook went missing, that incident broke my heart because I spend time writing that story. I really love writing stories when I was a kid, and my teacher noticed my hobby because I always write in my notebooks about a certain situation. After my teacher noticed, she wants me to join the Journalism team and a girl who loves to write I also accept the challenge or the offer of my teacher. I always attend to seminars about on how to write a news, because my teacher put me in the news writing category.
Attending seminars was really interesting and fun for me because whenever I join a seminars I always learn something new and make new friends from different schools. I graduated at Candulawan Elementary School on my elementary level and the students I encountered are from different schools like Tisa Elementary School, Labangon Elementary School, and there are also private schools like St. Scholastica’s Academy. Joining seminars mold my communication skills and enhanced it, as a student who is taking the course of being a teacher, I can say that it was a very big help for me because studying in college is really hard and challenging. Being a shy person will not help you; it will just make you suffer, and it will make you nervous. Until now I am not that good in communication skills and in my vocabulary. I still need to enhance those lackings or weaknesses that I have.
My reason for joining Hive is that I find it interesting, and I want to explore more things with the use of technology, sharing ideas or thoughts and pictures sounds interesting and fun. By joining Hive will help on my studies and to my future career because as a future educator we should know how to manipulate technology because we are in 21st century where people know how to use modernize things that could help in their daily lives. By joining this platform, I could enhance my writing skills and vocabulary skills that could help my journey on college. I could also meet or get to know friends/ other people. As we all know that we have different beliefs and culture, maybe I can also learn about other people’s beliefs and cultures. I am also interested on other opinions because we have different perspectives on a certain different thing.
By joining Hive, I can contribute by sharing my thoughts and ideas to other people because sharing ideas to others can help them and it could also make them happy. I can get also their ideas or thoughts about different things; we have different experiences in life and by sharing our own experiences can have a positive impact to each other. I always believe in ‘’two heads are better than one’’ we can learn through collaboration by having connections to other people makes us more knowledgeable. That’s why I want to join Hive because by joining Hive I can read other people experiences what are the different experiences that a person could have.
How did I got to know Hive? It's all because of my boyfriend’s classmate, her name is Coleen also known as Helianthus-chloe. According to my boyfriend, they were chatting with his classmates in their classroom and Helianthus-chloe opened the topic all about Hive. She said that it was fun at the same time you could earn money. My boyfriend told me about Helianthus-chloe’s topic about Hive and I got curious what is Hive all about, thanks to her we found out that there is a platform like this, and we have a chance to join Hive. That’s why I want to join Hive; I want to continue my passion which is writing and taking moments at the same time. It's like hitting two birds in one stone, I really hope I can join Hive, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts/ideas about my different experiences.

I love reading pocketbook before that's why I also like to write stories, but I actually just started during high school, but all of those stories naman has no ending. Laging putol ba. Lol.
