Xilloi beach, Galicia, Spain.

Dear friends:

Last weekend was excellent for me, because I didn't have an on-call day at work and I was able to enjoy the whole weekend. Friday in the evening of "tapas", Saturday beach and Sunday rest and put things in order for the new work week.

This time we decided to go to the Praia of Xilloi. It is a well-known beach, very beautiful and that is quite close to the city of Lugo, a little more than 100kms. Although we are always looking for new destinations for our weekends, we decided to return to Xilloi because it is the one we have liked the most so far.

You can get to Xilloi by bus, but the most comfortable way is to get there in a private vehicle, since they have a parking lot and that way it is easier to take everything we always take to the beach, to spend the whole day: clothes to change, fast food , lots of water to hydrate, sunscreen, beach towels, in short, a whole load.

After a first swim in the sea, you fancy a sandwich. We bring the food from home, but in Xilloi you will find all the services to spend a comfortable day, enjoying the sea that does not have the characteristic coldness of oceanic beaches. The water is so clean that you can see the bottom, like a swimming pool.

The sand is white and this makes an excellent contrast with the blues of the sky and the sea. But also, good news, the waves are gentle and there are no stones! In other words, it is a very friendly beach.

We are leaving Xilloi with the decision to return before the end of the summer, because we had a great time here and with minimal expense, since we carried all our things. We stopped along the way to say goodbye to these wonderful views.
