Coffee Time With Friends At Das Chill Coffee Shop On The Weekend

Hi everyone. How's your weekend? I hope you have a great time to relax and chill with your family or your friends. This weekend, I woke up at 5am to catch the sunrise, but it was raining outside so I decided to sleep a bit more because I was a bit lazy lol. I started breakfast at 7 am, then I got a text from a friend asking me to go out for coffee. We meet at 10 am, at Das Chill coffee shop. After getting ready, I googled maps and went there by motorbike.

Coffee Time.png

It is located at 37 Tran Quy Cap street, Hai Chau district, Da Nang city, it takes 15 minutes to travel by motorbike from my inn. Because the shop was covered by trees, when I passed by I couldn't find it twice, finally I saw my friend parking on the side of the road, so I realized it. The outside of the shop is decorated with a quite new style and customers are drawn in by the quite large and airy space, and the question "How are you today?" on the entrance door seems to attract me. The shop opens from Monday to Sunday, and from 6:30 am to 10 pm so you can come here any day of the week.

You order your drink at the counter and the staff will bring it to you. There are many kinds of drinks here such as coffee, juices, teas, smoothies, you can order whatever you like. Drink prices here range from 25,000VND - 55,000VND ~ $1 - $1.5. Everything such as glasses, cups, vases are neatly arranged on shelves, on counters.

After ordering, we chose a corner of the house to sit and chat after not seeing each other for a while. Because we have different working and studying time, we can only meet on weekends to sip coffee and chat. We talked about a lot of topics, we shared a lot of things about each other's work, and about the good and bad things of that week.

While waiting for coffee, I started walking around the shop to take pictures. The shop has two spaces, indoor and outdoor, both of which have their own vibe. First, the outdoor space is very airy, there are many cool corners for you to take pictures to post on your Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Outside there is also plenty of seating for you if you are someone who does not like enclosed spaces like indoors. Here, many trees are planted above to cover the sun of this summer weather. The outside of the coffee shop is really decorated very artfully, the walls look very strange because it has not been built, but that is the intention of the shop owner. It looks really attractive, and beautiful to me. Many trees are also planted close to the wall such as bamboo, ornamental banana trees, and palm trees.

On the ground, there are also a few vases of dried flowers that look very harmonious with the space here. On those vases of dried flowers was a mirror placed in large wooden slats, it looked very mysterious. On the shelf there are many vases of different shapes. A special thing is that in a corner at the end of the corridor, there are many beer bottles randomly arranged on the stone shelf to create a chill space for young people to take pictures.

After walking outside and taking some pictures, I went back to my seat to enjoy coffee. I ordered a milk coffee to be more awake. There are three storage cups, one for black coffee, one for condensed milk, and one for ice. Normally, people keep three separate cups because it depends on each person's preference. If you want to drink more concentrated coffee, pour a little condensed milk into the coffee, or if you want to be sweeter, pour more condensed milk into the coffee. Since I am a person who likes sweet drinks, I would like to add a cup of condensed milk to ease the bitterness of the coffee. At first I poured condensed milk into the coffee, but the coffee was quite small, I had a bold idea to pour it all into an iced glass and mix it up, and the end result was a very delicious cup of coffee.

After drinking coffee and chatting for a while, I started looking around the indoor space and started to find beautiful corners to take some pictures. The lights on the ceiling caught my attention first, then the surrounding items such as the refurbished old sofa set became extremely beautiful. The holes in the wall create a more artistic space. The bookcase is also decorated with many unique items: small oil lamps, cassettes, iron effigies, old cameras, sticks, and old books. The other side of the wall is hung with a lot of pictures about dogs and cats in costumes, it looks very interesting! Here is also placed a very large mirror, it is taller than me, young people often come here to take pictures with it.

One last special thing that impressed me with this coffee shop is that in a corner of the wall there is a small bookshelf with notes and colorful markers. Me and my friend took a sheet to record what we liked. After writing, next to the bookshelf is a large rock called MEMORY, you can stick your hand writing here to keep memories. As far as I observe a lot of people have written and posted on here before, this is very cute.

I went there before, that is a very chill cafe. I liked the atmosphere and the music. Keep doing good job to bring more interesting places to everyone @niiva2110

Yup, thanks so much 😊

Beautifully presented again. I like all the details of the cafe. Glad that you found it for it has to be found :D It's nice too that you were able to take photo of the place without people in them to help us focus more on the interior and other details.

Good idea on mixing the coffee and milk in one for that made you enjoy the drink even more.

I really appreciate it. Thanks for reading and liking my article. Have a great day @leeart
