RE: Weekend-engagement topic week 62: Skills you have or want

You're right, failure is a good thing. I like "Fail more". I never see it as failing really, just as a learning experience. I have set out to achieve failure in a very specific area, carving. Once you know how to really screw it up really good, you learn how far you can take it to the edge and just stop short of destroying the piece. I don't do that now. In the beginning, for a while I did do that.

I can see them doing that. Those claws though, that kind of makes me pause.

Do you have a photo of such?

A G-dog hug is like...Well, must be received to be believed! :)

Sort:

They have some claws for sure...One doesn't want to get on the wrong side of them.

Hmm, no hug-photos, always so engrossed in the hug so there's no time for selfies. World-class hugging takes focus.

A bit out of focus but this is me mid-hug with @smallsteps, my niece in Finland. She's the second bet hugger in the world. I taught her everything she knows.

It was her birthday yesterday. Five. I miss her so much. I sent a heap of stuff for her though which I saw a video of her opening. Cuteness personified. 😞

She liked it all, she's like that, very respectful and cherishes everything. She loved the little pink sparkly princess shoes a lot though, had a small heel. She clomped around for a few hours in them. I sent clothes, one of those gymnastic ribbon things that they twirl and a unicorn. There's another box also but it didn't arrive yet. Customs. I sent a lot. She'll value it all. Yeah she misses me too and we always have a good video chat each week.
