As usual, our dear and amazing friend, @galenkp is up again with exciting topics, and below is my response to one of the topics. Kindly read through and let me know what you feel or think about my response.
As I wrote earlier, there are unique topics to discuss this weekend. However, I chose to write on Disposing of items
Life is beautiful when there is love and mutual understanding. You cannot love without giving and you can't give if there is no love.
me and some friends during one of the outings to give to the less privileged
No one has it all, but sometimes you just feel the urge to dispose of certain things you own. It will be wise to give these things out to others who may likely need them. Yet, you can dispose of them, if they aren't useful.
Do I have it all? No, unfortunately, the level of hardship in my country has made people live beyond what they would have loved to. There are certain things people don't see as a luxury now in my country because of the economic meltdown. So, people only chop for their urgent and immediate needs.
Do I have any items to dispose of?
My daughter's undersized shoe
Yes, If I had to dispose of some items I currently own, then the three items that should come to mind are; some food items, unused, undersized, or oversized clothes, and shoes my kids are outgrown.
Why would I choose these items? Are these items still good? Yes, they are and would be beneficial to others I may choose to give them to. However, I choose to give these things because I know the current situation in my country. People are hungry and some less privileged people don't have access to the basic needs of life. Also, some of the items are not useful to us as we (my kids and I) have outgrown them.
These are some items I would like to dispose of
Will the loss of these items affect me? Yes, but positively. As I mentioned earlier, these items would be taken to the homes of the less privileged who don't have access to basic needs. Visiting such people and blessing them with these items will make them happy and feel loved. In essence, it will make me happy and fulfilled too. Just like the saying "It is more blessed to give than to receive", I believe giving these items to those who need them more will make me receive more as it has been my experience in the past. When I give out, I have more people who give me too.
Do you have any items to dispose of? Why would you want to give them out and who would you choose to give them to? Please share with us your thoughts.
I am your friend @omobolanle1. Thanks so much for stopping by to read my response to the week's topic. I love and care about you 💕
