I was relieved that today, which had been quite stressful, came to a successful conclusion and that I do not have to deal with it again on Monday because I detest having to work on projects on Monday that I should have finished during the week.
Like every other Saturday, today began with me doing what needed to be done and waiting for my bus to pick me up at the bus stop and take me to my place of employment. As soon as I was in the bus and traveling down the highway, my boss called to tell me that "he needed me to be at a construction site at ikoyi here in lagos state."
Following these thoughts, I did the unthinkable and got off the bus without getting to the nearest bus stop in the hopes that I would see a bus that would take me to the bus stop where I could find a bus to take me to the island. I had two options: getting off the bus and walking back to where I boarded, or staying in the bus until I reached my original work location.
I spent up to an hour trying to determine whether I was on the right path but sadly I wasn't because I was following my boss's directions, which he provided me because it was the first time I was traveling down to that construction site using a bus. Unfortunately, I didn't spot any of them.
In the end, I ordered a ride that got me exactly where I needed to go, but it cost more than quadruple what I could have paid for a bus journey. I will regret my decision later because I'm now on a tight budget and have no chance of getting my boss to reimburse me for the cost of the ride.
Unluckily, when I arrived at the construction site, nobody was there, so I spent my money believing I was already late. I immediately called my supervisor and explained the situation to him. He advised me to take the necessary action in accordance with a paper that he would send to me. I completed all the necessary tasks and awaited the engineer's approval, for which I had to wait or return back on Monday.
I knew how the road would be congested on Monday and i decided to wait and while waiting i took pictures of the construction site going on
The engineer kept saying he was in a meeting while I waited at the construction site for up to 6 hours. Finally, when he returned in the evening, I was so exhausted that I couldn't even express my rage; instead, I just asked him to approve the documents. As soon as he did, I left for home.
And unfortunately once again, i emcountered traffic jam and i could see people seriously sweating in it. I knew today was just against me and fortunately i got home healthy because that's all that matters.

What a frustrating situation you have lived, friend, but in those cases duty calls and we can't do much more. I hope that situations like this don't happen again. Successes
