In my opinion, each era has its specificities and therefore there are positive and negative elements in each one..

I start from the fact that parenting is a complex task that imposes great challenges, which obviously like all aspects of life is in continuous development and evolution from the changes that society is imposing in its evolution..

I could say that technology is one of the changes that has had the greatest impact and depending on its use can be considered something that supports parenting, as parents have access to more information to make the right decisions in situations that arise in the upbringing of children..

Also, the electrical effects help a lot, and the linens, sheets and other tools are disposable, that is to say, there is a greater facility that allows you to get less tired and have more time to work...

Nowadays, modern society is so fast paced that time is dedicated to work and many parents delegate the care of their children to caregivers..

Also, if children abuse the internet it is a danger, as we have already seen all the implications it can have, from isolating themselves to having dealings with people who may harm their physical or psychological integrity..

Another danger that now exists in my country is drugs, 30 years ago in Cuba that was not a problem, now you have to be very alert..

My children grew up playing interactive games with other children, the ball, the rope, running, playing sports, growing up and playing board games..

The family was an institution and there was a general respect for the elders, traditions, etc. The school and the community supported and played their roles in education..

It must be said that rigid patterns had to be confronted, which through ignorance or tradition violated the rights of children and young people, and this was the cause of serious conflicts..

Today at least in Cuba families are different, many are dysfunctional, they are divided, not only by divorce but also by emigration, not to mention other situations, parents are very stressed by economic problems and their time and head is in it, so it is exhausting to pay attention to other spiritual needs..

The school as a fundamental link in education has the same social problems, teachers have emigrated from the sector, and the country for economic improvement, there is a deficit of teachers and many of those who assume this area do not have adequate preparation, which influences what does not contribute to form the values in children and young people that allow them to integrate into society..

In short, weighing the pros and cons, reiterating that raising is always a complex task, I think that today parents have to face challenges and very adverse conditions that make parenting more difficult..
