Saturday March 19 in the city of Maracay, in the mark of the Gillman Fest and the celebration of the 45 years of artistic career of Paul Gillman presents myself, by means of an invitation, with the band Imperial Ceremony. That whole adventure began on Wednesday 16, in the afternoon I receipt a message from my friend, Marco Alfano, guitarist and vocalist of the Band Imperial Ceremony who asked me if I could memorize four songs before Saturday. I was retired and with some time without practices in the guitar but I respond him that yes. He sent me the songs and the scores. The first surprise is that the scores were not written to the detail, Only it indicated the notes but not its duration neither they were detailed the signs and times. But with having heard, perseverance and will were able to memorize the songs. Thursday to learn the songs, on Friday to practice
Mi retorno a las tarimas
Sábado 19 de Marzo en la ciudad de Maracay, en el marco del Gillman Fest y la celebración de los 45 años de carrera artística de Paul Gillman me presento, por medio de una invitación, con la banda Imperial Ceremony. Toda esa aventura comenzó el Miércoles 16, en la tarde recibo un mensaje de mi amigo Marco Alfano, guitarrista y vocalista de la Banda Imperial Ceremony quien me preguntó si podía aprenderme cuatro temas antes del sábado. Yo estaba retirado y sin mucha practica en la guitarra pero le dije que sí. Me envió los temas y las partituras. La primera sorpresa es que las partituras no estaban escritas al detalle, solo indicaba las notas pero no su duración ni estaban detallados los signos y tiempos. Pero con oído, perseverancia y voluntad logré aprenderme los temas. Jueves para aprender los temas, el viernes para practicar
I had so much time without playing continuous that the fingers hurt me. On Saturday I could not practice anything for questions of family responsibilities. However, with the commitment and with the internal trust I undertook the trip to Maracay. Before leaving, my beautiful friend, muse, inspiration of letters, model of my pictures, Adriana, give me the farewell, somebody that here in Hive I have dedicated him several publications and some will have read her name. It was a very beautiful farewell, full with energy. Before so grandiose presence my heart asked to stay with her but I had a commitment with the art and a rediscover with the life, which also had great meaning for her, and for her, for me and for the music I will complete
Tenía tanto tiempo sin tocar continuo que los dedos me dolían. El sábado no pude practicar nada por cuestiones de responsabilidades familiares. Sin embargo, con el compromiso y con la confianza interna emprendí el viaje hacía Maracay. Antes de irme me despidió mi bella amiga, musa, inspiración de letras, modelo de mis fotos, Adriana, alguien que acá en Hive le he dedicado varias publicaciones y algunos habrán leído su nombre. Fue una despedida muy bonita, llena de energía. Ante tan grandiosa presencia mi corazón pedía quedarme con ella pero tenía un compromiso con el arte y un recuentro con la vida, el cual también tenía gran significado para ella y por ella, por mí y por la música iba a cumplir
In the road I found some obstacles, details, small circumstances that seemed to darken the presentation. An automobile overturned in the freeway retarded my arrival. When arriving to the terminal they warn me that they won't be able to pick me up. I take public transportation and in spite of the indication made to the driver that my destination was the Acoustic Shell of Maracay the same one he left me in another location, in The Maestranza. lost, walking and asking here and there I finally arrived to my destination near 3:00 in the afternoon. I announce myself before the organizers but it is that they had not carried out musician's change in the list. They didn't allow me access to the backstage in an immediate time. However, with an undeniable kindness the put in to solve the problem and they gave me the pass of security. I entered to the dressing room. Then a new and urgent situation arises, the other members of the band, they had not arrived. 3:30 of the afternoon announce me that if they didn't arrive in 10 minutes they will suspend the presentation of the band. After moments of tension the boys arrived and like it was averaged, at 4:00 o'clock P.M. begin the presentation
En el camino hallé algunos obstáculos, detalles, pequeñas circunstancias que parecieron ensombrecer la presentación. Un automóvil volcado en la autopista retrasó mi llegada. Al llegar al terminal me avisan que no podrán recogerme. Tomo transporte público y pese a la indicación hecha al chofer de que mi destino era la Concha Acústica de Maracay el mismo se confundió y me dejó en otra ubicación, en La Maestranza. Desubicado, caminando y preguntando aquí y allá llegué por fin a mi destino cerca de las 3:00 de la tarde. Me anuncio ante los organizadores pero resulta que no habían realizado el cambio de músico en la lista. No me permitieron acceso al camerino de manera inmediata. Sin embargo, con una amabilidad innegable se avocaron a resolver el problema y me dieron el pase de seguridad. Ingresé a camerino. Entonces surge una nueva y apremiante situación los demás miembros de la banda no habían llegado. 3:30 de la tarde me anuncian que si no llegaban en 10 minutos iban a suspender la presentación de la banda. Luego de momentos de tensión llegaron los chicos y como estaba pautado, a las 4:00 P.M. comenzamos la presentación
The presenter one announced the band and Marco announced the first Song. At the Edge of Vortex, 6 minutes of deafening Death Metal, the public responded. It was the first band of extreme metal in being presented that afternoon. Subsequently the song Before the Ritual, the madness exploded and the public forms the pit and headbanging. Daniel Siugza, the presenter, put some order, since had to take care of the facilities. He public accepted the call to the order. The following song, Lack of Comprehesion, original of the band Death, to half of the song a problem was presented with Marco's guitar, with that which I was sounding totally alone, in a situation you cannot stop the play, you should continue until the technical team solves the problem. We close with Pull the Plug, song also original of the group Death. Again, before ending it presented the problem with Marco's guitar, we continue. It finished this way our presentation. The public requested more than the band but that was the rule, 30 minutes of presentation or 4 songs
El animador anunció la banda y Marco anunció el primer tema. At the Edge of Vortex, 6 minutos de atronador Death Metal, el público respondió. Era la primera banda de metal extremo en presentarse aquella tarde. Seguidamente la canción Before the Ritual, la locura estalló y se formo la olla. Daniel Siugza, el animador, puso un poco de orden, ya que había que cuidar las instalaciones. El publico acató el llamado a la orden. El siguiente tema, Lack of Comprehesion, original de la banda Death, a mitad de la canción se presentó un problema con la guitarra de Marco, con lo cual quedé sonando completamente solo, en una situación así no puedes parar, debes seguir hasta que el equipo técnico resuelva el problema. Cerramos con Pull the Plug, canción también original del grupo Death. Nuevamente, antes de terminar se presentó el problema con la guitarra de Marco, continuamos. Terminó así nuestra presentación. El público pedía más de la banda pero esa era la pauta, 30 minutos de presentación o 4 canciones
We get off the platform and friends, acquaintances and strangers approached us. There were pictures, rediscovering. I had 6 years far from the live presentations. That which was magnificent, to return and to discharge that energy and to receive it from the public. The place: beautiful, the facilities: impeccable, the treatment: Excellent. I debated myself some minutes if I returned to my city to a deserve rest or I stayed until the end of the concert. I thought of consulting with my dear muse their opinion in this respect, but, via phone, before I could outline the question she approached it and she gave me the impulse that required. As always it has been since I have had the grace of knowing her. I undertook the return and already at home, celebrating my return to the platforms. I obtained my deserve rest. A magic afternoon, it doesn't exempt of difficulties but that they were overcome by the positive situations. Which share with you, with the community of Hive.
Bajamos de la tarima y amigos, conocidos y extraños nos abordaron. Hubo fotos, reencuentros. Tenía yo 6 años alejado de las presentaciones en vivo. Lo cual fue magnífico, regresar y descargar esa energía y recibirla del público. El sitio: hermoso, las instalaciones: impecables, el trato: Excelente. Me debatí unos minutos si regresaba a mi ciudad a un merecido descanso o me quedaba hasta el final del concierto. Pensé en consultar con mi querida musa su opinión al respecto, pero, vía telefónica, antes de que yo pudiera plantear la cuestión ella la abordó y me dio el impulso que requería. Como siempre ha sido desde que he tenido la gracia de conocerla. Emprendí el retorno y ya en casa, celebrando mi regreso a las tarimas. Obtuve mi merecido descanso. Una tarde mágica, no exenta de dificultades pero que fueron superadas por las situaciones positivas. Las cuales comparto con ustedes, con la comunidad de HiveOriginal Photos whitout edition

Gracias, fue algo improvisado pero la pasé súper a pesar de un par de circunstancias que amenazaron oscurecer la velada
