As I was scrolling here in ecency to find something interesting to read, I saw this post from @erikah entitled Living The Dream where @erikah answered a question from mr. @galenkp's prompt for this weekend. Refer to the text below.
Where you live: Would you rather...
If you could choose between a small shack on and idyllic beach or a cabin in the woods which would you choose and why? Explain your choice and tell us about your ideal place in a post of at least 300 words.
I visited the post of mr. Galen and I thought of answering one of the prompts this weekend.
I choose to answer this one. But first and foremost, I would like to thanks @galenkp for making this prompt, this is such a great opportunity for us to share our ideas, thoughts, and experiences.
Love or fear: Would you rather...
Would you rather be loved or feared? Answer in at least 300 words and explain your choice and reasoning.
I would rather be loved than feared if I had to pick between the two. Being respected and valued today is much more essential than being afraid or feared. While love nurtures trust and deep friendships, fear can produce enmity.
When we are loved, we feel accepted, valued, and secure. We don't feel threatened or intimidated by others. Love pushes us to be our best selves by bringing out the best in us. When we are aware of how much we are cherished and appreciated, we are inspired to work hard and do good. Through love, we may fulfill our potential and become the finest versions of ourselves.
Fear, on the other hand, is a primordial feeling that has a big impact on our actions. We begin to doubt our own talents as well as the motives of others around us. We may become protective and angry, unwilling to trust individuals we fear. Since we are too worried with our own safety to think and act creatively, fear can lead to a lack of creativity and drive.
It follows that love is much more desirable than fear. Inspiring us to overcome obstacles and work toward our objectives, it gives us the courage to do so. It nudges us to exercise our own judgment and make choices that are consistent with our values and principles. We are encouraged to learn and advance in our own special ways, which also fosters personal development and growth.
Ultimately, love is the foundation of meaningful relationships and connections. It allows us to build trust and understanding with others, creating a safe and supportive environment where we can all thrive. Fear, on the other hand, can lead to isolation and alienation, creating a toxic and hostile environment.
For these reasons, I would much rather be loved than feared. Love brings out our best qualities and encourages us to reach our fullest potential. It is the foundation of meaningful relationships and connections, creating a safe and supportive environment for us all.
