Ideally,my way of life recently has been a kind of stagnant one but it's not that I am not progressing. I am and this is where I have been making life for myself to make earnings. As it's usually said here,If your government can't make life for you, make life for yourself. I am a graduate of education but since I have observed my nysc service things have not been easy and rosy. So with this,I have this thought that things must not be going this way and I am the type who doesn't like doing anything illegal. That was what made me to take this bold step to start up a small business for myself by rearing birds and putting them up for sales when it's time. All thanks to my Landlord who gave me the chance to build a small pen beside my rented apartment. Since I have started rearing these birds, most of my way of life have been stationed such that taking care of birds isn't what you can just leave them and be away for a long time , atleast you need to spend most of your time with them which is very necessary.

MY WEEKEND ENGAGEMENT.

Normally, most of mid-week activities are only meant to observe, feed and to give attention to the birds while I spend most of my time in the weekends to do necessary cleaning which is very necessary because it's not good and hygienic for birds to live and stay in dirty environment. As you all know that birds are fun of picking things from the floor which is obviously known that the floor is where they drop their faeces. So, It's necessary to fix time to make cleaning of the whole pen.

FIRST PART OF MY ENGAGEMENT IS CLEANING THE ALREADY MESSED UP FLOOR.

This is how I usually do this,I have all the equipments to achieve these cleaning process. For the cleaning of the floor what I need most are shovel,a big bowl and a broom to sweep the floor. I usually use the shovel to scraped the litter materials (sawdust) that the birds drop their faeces,we use this litter materials so that when the floor is messed up it will be easy to scrape and pack the litter materials that is already mixed with the birds shit.

After,I have scraped and pack it, the next thing is to drop the dirty stuff inside the big bowl in order to dispose them.

SECOND PHASE

The second part is the part that I drop new litter materials after I have packed the messed up litter materials mixed with the birds faeces.

This litter materials (sawdust) is very important in the poultry farm because it will not allow birds' shii to gum on the floor,if you allow the birds to pass faeces on the floor surface without the litter materials, the floor will be easily messed up and when you want to pack it won't be easy. So the litter materials stand as an intermediary between the birds faeces and the floor surface.

MY THIRD ENGAGEMENT

With all that being done,I also take my time to feed them which I have been doing before. Cleaning the birds pen seems to them as if they are in a new world. Because you will observe them feeling free.
