My First Experience Being a Godmother

Hello again, Hivers! It's been a while. How are you guys? I've been busy lately with school works and barely manage my time to write something. But despite that, I'm here to show you guys my every first experience of being a godmother.

Last Saturday, me and my older sister was invited to attend a baptism of my friend's brother first child in Daan Bantayan. I was shock to know that I was not just a guest but a godmother of his child since I thought you can only be a godmother if you're 18 years and above. However, they said it was fine and my mother allowed us to go with them. It is incredible to think that I was also their flower girl during their wedding and being able to enjoy their wonderful day again was incredibly heartwarming. At first, I didn't know what to do but luckily I was able to attend an orientation with my older sister.

The ride there was 40 minutes away, while looking the scenery on the way there, I was so excited and nervous at the same time. As we arrived at the house of the child, we greeted her, as she was already happy to see us. When I played with her, she was so cute laughing non-stop. Sadly, I wasn't able to take a picture of her closely because I was just enjoying the moment. I also didn't hold her since I'm scared that I might actually hurt her since I don't know how and what's the proper way to hold a baby.

Later on, we decided to go first in the church since we won't be able to fit in the car if we go together. While waiting for them outside at Sta. Rosa de Lima Parish church we wonder around and enjoy the scenery.

When they arrived we proceed inside. It was quite though because the ceremony was private so there's no other people here besides us. It wasn't my first time here since their wedding was also held in this church.

As the baptism ceremony continued in such a religious yet happy manner as we proceeded to one of Daanbantayan's lovely beaches. The program began with a realistic opening comment thanking everyone who had come to witness the celebration of little Marry Elianna, followed by a prayer delivered in honor of the food. As we ate, splashes of laughter and energetic chats filled the air, with relatives and friends eager to spill practically everything they had missed out on. The food taste wonderful and delicious. The food tastes wonderful and delicious. I thought I wasn't able to enjoy these foods because I get shy when it comes to food, but luckily one of my friends is a savior for bringing me the different sets of cupcakes and other delicates (╥﹏╥). It was absolutely worth it, the cake was so soft and moist that it melts right away after you eat it.

After eating, the host gave away some cute thank you gift to the guest. As we continue to chat one of us said that the sunset slowly arrived, me and my friends immediately goes out of the curtains to see the sunset. All I can say that the sunset was the best way to end the celebration. While capturing the scenery, there is this one guy who actually didn't know how to take a picture of the sunset so we taught him and he became good at it. Because of it, he basically cannot stop taking pictures to the point he has 30 different shots (≧▽≦). Later on, after few more chatting we slowly packed up and head home.

To be honest, this was the best experience I've ever had. I'd never been a godmother before, so it was not just an honor, but also a wonderful and touching experience. The entire day, from the baptism ceremony to the reception by the sea, was filled with happiness, laughing, and warmth. It was an amazing opportunity to see how key events in life bring people together, creating beautiful moments to cherish.

That's all, everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you will stay tuned for my future blogs.

I first became a godmother dun sa anak nong suki ni Mommy F, siya dapat yon kaso sakin pinasa. So pwede nga, pero never ko nakita yong bata, I was 10 lang ata back then. Parang they just include my name ba. Soon may mamamasko na sayo. Ready your sweet messages na and syempre a cash 😆😆.
