What a great topic and I am seeing beautiful pictures here!
I've decided to share this picture from a trip I did two years ago to Oman. I hardly knew anything of Oman and assumed it was pretty deserty and maybe therefore not so interesting. Boy was I wrong! My partner got a temporary job there and I decided to visit him. I can definitely recommend everyone to go, what a beautiful country that holds a surprising amount of water, caves, canyons, mountains and lovely people as well.
This picture was taken on Jebel Shams, also knows as the Grand Canyon of Oman and it has a great climbing route going up! Hope to go there again when travel is back on the menu!
A region of intrigue, one I would enjoy getting to, rough, rugged with plenty to explore @plint. Friends managed to go there a couple of years ago, came back with nothing but a very positive experience.
