It is another wonderful weekend with interesting topics but i will be choosing:
Have you ever set fire to your kitchen, burned your food, yourself or generally messed up in a major way whilst cooking. Tell us about your worst personal cooking experience, the disaster-zone experiences.
For me, i like the last part of food or the burnt part, like they said it is always the sweetest part of your food. But allowing it burn too much can make the food loose it's taste.
I would recall one particular day i was steaming chicken.
Steaming requires little or no water at all. I decided to take my phone and keep myself busy on TikTok watching videos and i had all my concentration there forgetting i left my meat on the gas cooker steaming.
The water dried in it and started burning the meat itself.
What alerted me was the smell of something burning immediately i rushed to the kitchen and carried the pot and even hurt myself because it was so hot.
I had to cover up immediately because i know my mum will be angry when she comes back, so immediately washed the pot and changed it to another pot...lol

Unfortunately, she returned immediately and perceived the burnt smell.
At that point, i would not lie but i had to tell her the truth that the meat burnt mistakenly.
She so so angry
Actually we were to prepare fried rice, and the steamed water is always good because it gives taste to the rice.
Unlike stew where you can add ordinary water.
I had to beg her and tell her that i was sorry.
We had to buy water meat, just as to steam again and get the water to give taste to the food.
It wasn't funny that day..lol!

Burnt offering, the worse part is even if they don't see the burnt food they will surely perceive it
Lol, it smell can go far just like when an electric stuff is burning, it help us get alerted
Smile, it's had to cover evidence of burnt meal and the smell will continually linker in the place.
