Hello there, Hivers! I wanted to share how I spent my day, which wasn't planned but turned out to be a fantastic bonding experience with my coworkers @baninan @jennicious and Kaye.
I assume it was simply another ordinary day, as I was so engrossed in my work that I thought it was just another ordinary day. Due to my busy schedule, I haven't had much opportunity to go out and have fun in the last few days. It was a different day today. I examined our itinerary and was surprised to see that it offered us the VTO (Voluntary Time Off). Although it is unpaid, it is an employee's privilege to take him or her off for a few hours.
It all began during my early morning shift when my coworker @baninan encouraged me to join the Lander's membership because they were offering a 50% discount, which I eagerly accepted. I instantly opted for the VTO option from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a one-hour lunch break. I also told my other coworkers @jennicious and kaye about our plans, and they both took the VTO and wanted to try Landers' wonderful pizza.
We decided to stroll together in the burning heat of the sun because Landers is only a short distance from our office. Until we arrived at our location and walked straight to the customer service area to apply for membership. Though it was disappointing to find that the 50% discount had expired, I was able to take advantage of the 25% reduction and paid 600 pesos instead of the standard annual charge of 800 pesos (not to bad).
Finally, I received my card, and we are eager to place our pizza order. We waited patiently and eventually served it hot and fragrant. We took the time to savor each piece, laughing, chatting, and snapping pictures. Indeed, we were relieved to be free of the pressures of the office for a while.
