Hello guys welcome to my blog and happy weekend to you all, it's an honor to participate in this amazing contest which is base on passion. The strong liking, desire or devotion to a particular thing is called passion and every human has one or two things they are passionate about in one way or the other. Today I will be talking about one thing I am passionate about and it gives me so much satisfaction when ever I am doing it, so guys my passion is to be a professional baker.
I have always said that if I am to learn any hand work it will be baking because i am a person that loves anything that has to do with food, please don't get me wrong oo am not saying am a foodie oo haha I just love cooking and baking. Even before I signed work in baking I was preparing chin chin and plantain chips back then in secondary school so when I got to Delta State last year after writing my JAMB examination I decided to sing up for a baking work before I get admission.
I started my baking class in the month of may 2022 and I must say my first day at work was fun because my co-workers there were all fun including my boss so I didn't feel board at all. The first thing I was thought on that day is how to use a piping bag to write and make different kind of designs and I must say it's wasn't difficult for me at all because all my devotion and dedication to it and because of that I was able to impress my boss on my first day at work.
Some weeks later my boss told me to get prepared because I will be baking my first cake and according to her I was her first student to start baking in just two weeks of being with her, her statement boost my confidence and passion for the work and as God may have it my cake came out well even dour the process was not easy because it's my first day and preparing a butter cream cake is not really that easy.
I was told that making a fondant cake was hard so I made sure I watch my boss when ever she is preparing a fondant cake so it won't be too difficult for me when I will be preparing mine as my particular. Actually there was a day my boss was not around and I wasn't doing anything on that day do I decided to pick up some left over fondant then I tried to cover a domie to see if I can do it and to my surprise it was even easier than I thought so when my boss came back I showed her and her was impress but at first she couldn't believe I made it because according to her it's even better than the ones my seniors have been doing.
My passion for baking really made to learn everything very fast and due to that most of the time when my seniors have graduated I was the one doing most of the work and it got to a point where my chin chin even taste better than the ones she normally prepare and as a result of that her orders in chin chin grew even more. They was a day i wasn't around so she and her remaining girls that work with us prepared chin chin and it didn't come out and as a result of that she couldn't sell it to her customer because she don't want to spoile her business so immediately I resumed the fellowing day I prepared it then delivered it to the customers.
After my graduation I have been getting work orders and I must say my customers are complaining my work and as a result of that my determination and passion is growing each day that passes by.
My passion for baking has not stopped her instead it continues to grow up even more because have been seeing different designs of cake and I have not gotten to that level yet so as it is right now I am planning on going for an upgrade class very soon once am done with my first semester examination, so guys when you are passionate about anything put in all your efforts into it as long as it gives you joy.
