🌲 Hello Hive family! 🌳
It's not the destination, it's the journey.
Today on this Saturday, me and some friends decided to go for a nice hike! It was a 13 km hike and about 500 to 600 m high difference.
So we met up at 8 am and drove to the starting point around 30 km, which took us about 40 min from Valencia. Not too far, if it wasn't because I got distracted and took a wrong turn at some point haha. Luckily enough we could go back to the right road easily.
The starting point was on this long narrow road which starts being asphalted and then becomes red ground from the clayey rocks that are around this area. All are limited by these amazing long two-lines of trees. The wall on the right surrounds a charter house, which I will show some photos of up the mountain later.
Once we parked at the starting point of this hiking route we followed on Wikiloc, we started our adventure.

So we followed the path of two-line trees and walked through these amazing and big arches, to start our adventure in the "Sierra de la Calderona", Spain.
During our hike we walked along easy earthy roads and also more narrow going through the mountain more difficult paths. But now and then we had this amazing view when we went up high.
I love how green these trees are! It seems Autumn is still not here in Spain! All is still so green :) 🌳
La Sierra de la Calderona is an amazing green mountain nature in the Valencian Region, which on the weekends is always full of families and hikers walking and enjoying its beauty. You can find so many different routes so every time you visit you can explore different areas. 🌳
The next two pictures show on the left side a really beautiful flower, and on the right side one of the wild, narrow paths that we took to get inside the mountain. The wilder the better for me!
Also, since I am posting about my day-to-day in this HIVE blog I love that I pay more attention to details, and photograph them! I have always had an attraction to pay attention to them, and I love close-up photos. But now I also have the willingness to show it to you and share it with everyone who may also be curious and interested.
In the next two photos I show this amazing weirdly shaped trunk of a dead tree. Looked like some sort of decoration-shaped trunk in the middle of the mountain. On the right side, I found this amazing rock where you can see all the layers form over time.
These are some of the amazing views we had from the top.
This one below was towards the end of the route where we could finally see the charter house where we parked! We thought we were lost but we managed to find the way!
And to finish my #weekend-engagement WEEK 178 post I will show you the snake we found during our hike and my friend's dog Ula, which had a lot of fun as well!
When we got back to Valencia we were so tired! My legs were hurting a lot ahaha. So we decided to go for a nice cup of coffee and a cake! So good and relaxing! God, I love coffee...
🌲 I hope you liked my post. Please, say hi in the comments. I want to hear from you all! 🌻

A nice hike! except for the little encounter with the snake hehe, they terrify me.
And great way to end the day after the exercise, relaxing while having coffee. Happy weekend!
The snake was so cool! I was afraid it would jump on us but it was just running away from us and then went on the little branch and I wonder if that was because it was getting ready to attack us haha. Luckily nothing happened and we took some photos. Happy weekend!
Wow what day you had, hmmm the hiking would stress out your legs that's for sure.
I like your coffee and cake image ❤️👌☕
It is hard to hike for long hours but very worth it when you get to explore amazing places.
Defo the coffee and the cake felt like heaven haha.
Thanks for passing by 😄
Yeah. I know that is how it feels.
You are welcome.
Glad I read from you
