Before finishing my last week in Colombo for the year, I wanted to enjoy the weekend. So I planned a visit to see Chrismas Decorations with my BF. Since we 2019, every year we used to visited shopping malls with beautiful Christmas decorations. If I do a quick recap, In 2019 we went to Majestic City which had a huge Christmas tree and plenty of beautiful decorations.
2020 was the covid time and everything was closed. Again last year we went One Galleface where had the best Christmas decorations that year.
This year, it seems non of the largest shopping malls have extraordinary decorations. So we decided to go to Colombo City Center as we can visit places nearby.
We parked on the upper floor hence we started to enjoy the decorations from top to bottom. Even though their decoration wasn't that big, it covered all floors. It was a huge Santa sitting on a stage that is lifted by tall columns that are decorated with red ornaments and cherries.
We climbed down two or three floors to reach the bottom of the decoration. This area was arranged in a way that is suitable for photos. We went around 12 noon, but the mall wasn't extremely crowded. Even there was enough space at the food courts to dine in without rushing.
But the above location was very crowded with people who are taking photos. After waiting for several minutes we could go on to the stage.
They used a red-green color combination with yellow lights and it made a gorgeous look. I really love the colorful nature of Christmas.
We didn't forget to have a mocktail from the food court. Anyway, there was nothing much to watch at CCC as we did during our last Christmas visit. But it was an iconic moment with colorful Christmas decorations.
