I hope you all had a great time and that his year has begun marvelously, an amazing year this will be, I'm sure of it.
I had planned already to make my first post of 2022 here on The Weekend community, for it's one of my favorite community's here on Hive. The plan was to make my post about my holiday weekend amongst family; me and my sister singing, the food, the New Year's toast, all that.
My plan changed when I logged in and found about this prompt thanks to some dear friends of mine whom I'll mention later, and that caught my eye enough to divert me from my original plan and make this post.
So, this Weekend's prompt is Past and Future, with six topics to choose from, and I chose Option One, you'll see why.
Explain your most memorable moment from 2021 and why it was so...
2021 was a very amazing year for me, even with Covid and all. People might think that because of that and all the restrictions, joyful and wonderful moments were scarce, and they were, with a few amazing exceptions.
There were many memorable moments for me in 2021, and the ones that are at the top of the list are these:** I quit my job, I the Record Guinness event and have new friends thanks to blogging**.
1.- I quit my job
I'm a musician and an Administrator, and my job was as General Manager or General Director of an Orchestral Foundation here in my hometown. Above me there is the board of directors with a woman who made my life a living hell, drowning me with responsibilities, hers included, and taking no accountability for when things went wrong, among other things.
I entered the Hive world looking for a place to earn some money to finally have financial freedom, because I was making 16usd a month, with luck. And by the end of August, I took the final step and resigned.
Since September I'm living out of blogging both here and on Read. Cash, and it's the best decision I have ever made, for now, I can focus on enjoying playing with my friends in the orchestra and little by little things are starting to take their rightful place at the Foundation for everyone realized that I was sustaining them almost alone.
2.- I got a Record Guinness
A week before my birthday I was asked to participate in a massive musical event: The Official Attempt for the World's Biggest Orchestra. Twelve Thousand Musicians from all over the country gathered together to get this thing done and it was the most beautiful experience of my life.

We got sunburned, bread burned, sleep burned, but the feeling of being there trying to give our country this great achievement surpassed any feeling of tiredness we might have. And I'm not a woman who likes celebrating her birthday, but the last day of the event was my birthday and it was a happy birthday indeed.
There were twelve thousand, between choirs and typical instruments, but the piece for the official attempt didn't require those so, the number went down, and the rules stated that nobody couldn't stop playing, and for many that were impossible, so yet again the number reduced again.
The weekend after that we got confirmation: We are the Official Record Holders of The World's Biggest Orchestra with 8573 musicians playing simultaneity, dethroning Russia who had the record before us. What a beautiful and meaningful moment that was!
My God it was amazing! And one of the best moments of 2021 and of my life.
3.- Meeting New and True Friends
2021 was a very hard year for almost everyone on this planet, and I'm grateful that I was able to accomplish great things despite the hard time we are living. That couldn't have been possible without a good support system, first and foremost God and my family, and a small but strong list of friends, both present and virtual, some of them I met in 2021.
This might be a little bit childish if you will, I mean, a grown woman depicting that one of the most memorable moments of her 2021 was making new friends, but for me, it was meaningful for they have become part of my support system even if we haven't seen each other in person.
@coquicoin and I met over read.cash in late August if I recall correctly. She started to comment in my articles and then, out of the blue, she was sponsoring me. I was so happy that she took interest in my content, and always had a cheerful word for me. Then we started to message a little over discord and she helped me with a project I had in mind. Since then, she is one of the people I read most avidly, and one of the most important characters in my blogging journey, because she inspires me even without knowing it.

@tengolotodo, the mad Scotsman we all know and love. I don't remember exactly when he and I started to interact, but since the first comment, I felt a good vibe, a fun yet soothing vibe, because as far as I can tell there is no a hard judging bone in him, and he always has reassuring words for all the people who interact with him. He also gave me a confidence boost, with the whole pizza thing; before I met him, I wouldn't have dared to do such a thing, but just by talking about it I started to build up the courage to finally say that I would gift him that, and then finally making it and publishing it.
So you see, meeting them, and others as well, make a memorable moment of 2021, for I'll never forget it for as long as I live.

Yes, 2021 was very kind to me despite all that has happen around the world, and for that I'm trully grateful.
That woman hates my guts but as the saying goes, "You reap what you sow" so, she has to work on acknowledging her mistakes just as I did mine.
