What makes you mad/angry? Explain.
Simply put, I don't like to be rushed.
I belong to the group that likes to plan stuff in advance, and be ready for deadlines, and it makes me uncomfortable or even mad when I am being rushed, whether is it in my daily life, or perhaps at the workplace.
During travels, there are people who are very comfortable booking tight itineraries, be it connecting flights, or reservations, and I personally don't like to do that. I prefer to have some form of buffer, to cater for unforeseen circumstances, and perhaps, also not to be late for appointments (which might not be nice to people who have set aside time for this).
In the workplace, the situation gets more prevalent. I am often puzzled why most people like to leave things to the very last minute. For example, if there is an assignment that is due 1 or 2 weeks later, I could probably start working on it throughout the week to pace myself, so that I can complete it within the deadline. But I do see people who only start working on the assignment 1 day before the deadline, and obviously, they struggle to complete and then pour their heart and soul about their troubles and ask for a deadline extension. I think it's not that bad if it's an individual assignment since everyone has their own working style, but if this "last minute" style of working applies to an entire workgroup, and everyone else had to rush on the final day or even stay back to work overtime, when a heads up could have been given in advance, it's just unfortunate and I would not be happy. That said, having been in the workforce for so many years, it's something that I have grown to adapt to, even though it's not my preferred style of working.
Or maybe, I just like to enjoy a slower pace of life. I like to chill, do stuff at my own pace, and plan my schedules. I find peace and calmness in orders and structures. And not everyone is like that.
And it's just kinda ironic that despite my discomfort with rushing, I am typing this post with less than 30 minutes to the deadline!!! HAHA!
I questioned myself why I am doing this though, like why do I have to stick to this deadline. I don't know either, maybe it's my little obsession with deadlines. Oh well.
Anyway, I was having a good break over the weekend, disconnecting from Hive as well as other stuff (if you read my posts, you know), and so I was just back on Hive yesterday. Here's a photo from my short getaway. The view from the hotel pool was pretty amazing but the weather was slightly cool and the waters were cold, so probably that's why nobody was there. Haha.
