I like it how you describe the young age using the snow as the point of view, memories never fade, no matter how hard we may want them to, the worst of it is that, sometimes, this memories can make us sad, depending on what we encountered but it was already in the past and there is nothing one can do about it.

Remembering about your life when you were with your grandparents may make you want to reshuffle all the good times, those are good memories I know.
