RE: Apples & Cucumbers: Size Does Matter

I guess 'god' in little letters is more palatable - or the divine spark.

What do you mean about primordial soup?

it's not about the boobs per se as it is about the boobs being attached to a lady.

Ha, yes, good point. I wouldn't be as happy fondling man boobs.

part of the mystery is that we don't fully understand our own fascination with boobies.

I know right! Perhaps it's just the infant memory, or perhaps we've just been cultured, which I suspect is the case.

Sort:

in one of his many lectures alan watts speaks about his time in japan. he says that where americans are ever so fascinated by breasts, it is not the case in japan where instead the back of the neck is the focus of attraction for males. but likely, western influence has by now completely changed that i can imagine, as that was like in the 60s and 70s.

maybe @selfhelp4trollls could say something about that? firsthand experience trumps everything ;)

so likely, it is a combination of culture, and infant memory, i agree.

oh "primordial soup" because that notion almost always arises in connection with certain wordly beliefs and assumptions, namely that our human lineage started somewhere in a single cell organism swimming in a pool before stuff took shape on earth. i am really not sold anymore on the idea that humanity started this way. too many glazed over problems and logical fallacies for that to be likely in my book. i feel it is way more wild, meaning way simpler. humans were "always" humans, but assuming something to have no beginning is, well, wild, as i said. no idea how uma iyt got "started", maybe we just showed up one day in physicality, much like we do after we awake from a dream.

blessings to you, and thanks for the fascinating exchange!
