Greetings! weekend experience friends, I hope your weekend was more productive than mine, because I dedicated myself to sleep 🤣. Regarding the weekend commitment, I chose: What were you doing at the moment you felt most alive, passionate and fulfilled?, and without a doubt there are several moments but I wanted to talk about the most recent.
So what was he doing? receiving my degree as a graduate in psychology and I know that you will think "Roxi if you study it is logical that you will receive the degree" well let me give you the famous context. I studied at a public university and I don't know what it will be like in your countries, but in mine it's hard to get in but even more so to get out 🤣🤣🤣.
I entered with 17 years and surprise I did not want to study that career but it was what the OPSU (national assignment system) assigned me and I said well when it comes to it, in the first semesters I grew fond of the career but a career that should lasting 5 years for me it lasted 8 and a half years, almost 9.
And it is that there were many strikes (it is a form of protest where we basically do not receive classes) some by teachers, others by students, and others by protests in my country, although those free spaces allowed me to have surgery and complete rest without missing classes. When I was already halfway through my degree in 2019 we experienced a blackout for 5 days without electricity with subsequent months where there were prolonged cuts so we could not have classes either.
And in 2020 we had the Covid pandemic that delayed us much more, and in other countries there were online classes but we did not have the conditions, and well, once the academic load was finished to obtain the date for the act it was another odyssey. And I am skipping other critical situations, the summary is that it was not easy and just as there were good and fun moments, there were other strong ones where I questioned continuing to study.
Grateful to my parents who were able to support me during that time and I didn't have to retire to work. So after living through all that, getting my degree, seeing that I was able to overcome the different difficulties and that in a certain way I beat the system made me feel full, fulfilled and alive. In addition to super proud and excited.
In addition, not only did I receive my degree, but I reached the highest mention SUMMA CUMLAUDE with an average of 19, 33 points, being the first average of my cut and the first summa of my career and the second of my deanship, which made me feel even more proud than those sleepless nights and all my effort was reflected.
I share the video of that great moment even though it is in Spanish because in my country we speak that language with the help of @mariiestefania I put the subtitles in English so that everyone can understand it. I have no words to describe what I felt at that moment with the amount of applause.
And friends told me that they felt goosebumps at that moment, I don't know if they believe in vibes but let's say it was the magic of the moment. And now I'm a graduate. I also felt very full wearing the white gown (which the university did not let me wear on the spot) for my photos, for the record that I am summa cumlaude.
I wish you that you end up having a good weekend, I read them in comments.
It was a really magical and exciting moment 😍👏🏻. I loved that I was able to be there to witness it, support you and scream a lot 🤭 hahaha.

Having a degree after a battle for years for the unending assignment, projects those quizzes and even the sleepless night just to finish a project, those things was all worth it after all. You will really feel fulfilled. Just like what I feel to mine when I finish college. It's hard but I live (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)
