Weekends are always fun for me as it's a time of the week where I get to do the things I am not able to do during the weekdays due to stress from work. So this weekend I decided to take a step towards one of the things I have been meaning to do for a while but keep procrastinating.
I have often been told that I have different looks and what I noticed about that is the way my hair looks.
Years back, I used to have a hair-care routine, getting treatments for my hair and all that which always makes my hair look good but I have neglected my hair for sometime and it has led to hair breakage amongst other things, in fact all my front edges are gone.
It is only when I have a hair-do that will make it look a bit ok but my natural hair looks dull. I have been thinking of barbing it down to a low cut but then I thought I should find a way to salvage it and maybe just maybe it will return to its former glory 😃😃😃.
So today being Saturday and also a weekend, I decided to visit a salon close to my house to set my hair. I decided to do this seeing as the electrical power is on which will help make it easier to dry off quickly.
The hair stylist is very welcoming and when I stated my purpose for coming to her shop, she started work immediately. She started with washing my hair using a conditioner to help make it soft. I asked her why she didn't use a shampoo and she said since the hair is clean, the conditioner alone is sufficient.
After washing, she proceeded to use a setting lotion, some rollers and the rolling pins to roll the hair giving it a simple yet good look. The procedure is quite a simple one, all that is needed is cutting the hair into smaller parts, rolling them with the rollers and securing it with its pin.
This is the look after my hair has been rolled.
After this procedure, the next is to place the hair in a hair dryer. This will help dry the hair and make it look firm. I was in the dryer for about 20 minutes.
After I came out, she proceeded to remove the rollers and its pin out of my hair and went on to apply some hair cream and afterwards she told me to place my hair back into the dryer for another 5 minutes.
I came out of the hair dryer the second time and she went on to comb my hair using a cutting comb and she also applied other hair products to make it look beautiful.
Here is the final look after everything. Safe to say I am glad I decided to do this today and this makes it a fun weekend for me.

Sometimes we get so busy that we forget to look after ourselves. For a while now I have not been able to cut my hair, I just keep procrastinating. It was wonderful reading through your weekend experience @rukkie.
Ladies are very concerned about hair and I feel it's natural. One of our county poets said once " Hair is the beauty of ladies". I also think it increases the beauty of ladies.
In the case of hairstyle, it's really difficult to make any compliment for me but your hairstyle is looking decent in my eyes.

My hair is one of the things I find very difficult to take a very good care of, I pray I have that grace someday. Though as a man , it doesn't even really matter but as a woman it's very important.
