It's hard to be completely self-sufficient. Much better to be part of a community and trade stuff XD It is most definitely deeply satisfying to be popping out into the garden to get most of the stuff you need for whatever you're making at the time :)
The poor snails and bugs and things get sacrificed to the chickens around here ^_^;
I look forward to having more time (and space) to get a little more active with the gardening so I'll have more to trade with others. It's fun. My parents used to do that a lot and I have a healthy respect for those doing it. I want to be one. 😀
