Weekend at Sava Promenade in Belgrade

In my country we like to celebrate so many events. From November till February there are plenty of celebrations, saint patrons celebrations, Christmas, New Year. We celebrate New Year on January First and on of January 13th too. Few days ago ,on Saturday I decided to have a walk with my daughters. We went to Galerija, Near it there is beautiful Sava Promenade, The trail stretches from Branko Bridge to Ada Ciganlija along the right bank of the Sava, about 2 kilometers long.

We went window shoping and when we get out of the mall on the promenade we noticed preparations for Chinese New Year…I am sorry I didn't see it alive yesterday evening but it will last till February 12th.
Chinese New Year 2025 begins on Wednesday, January 29th, it is today actually,, and ends on February 3rd, 2026, and will be under the sign of the snake. The Chinese New Year was officially celebrated yesterday about 5 O’Clock pm, in Belgrade for the seventh time organized in Belgrade under the auspices of the Embassy of China, the Chinese Cultural Center, the Government of Serbia and the Belt and Road Institute.
The Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year, is the most important holiday in the Chinese calendar and a time when families come together.

You can see the photos I took on Saturday while walking there. I can imagine how spectacular it was yesterday evening with lights and more decorations. I am sure I will go there again till next weekend, because it lasts for days and I am going to take more photos.
Various figures characteristic of Chinese history and culture and figures in the form of Chinese zodiac symbols are placed on the set list. I am a pig in the Chinese horoscope. And what about you? As I mentioned before 2025 year is year of snake.

Each year of the Chinese horoscope or "ben ming nian" is represented by an animal, yang energy and the 5 elements of the Chinese zodiac — earth, metal, water, wood and fire. So you can recognize the signs represented by figures on the photos.
There are Rat,Ox,Tiger,Rabbit,Dragon,Snake,Horse,Goat,Monkey,Rooster,Dog and Pig.

Day was so beautiful and girls really enjoyed walking. The Sava River is beautiful and the view was so relaxing . I was happy to have a walk with my daughters because I am always busy and we need time just for ourselves. The youngest daughters stayed at home because I didn't know it will be so nice, and I thought thez can be bored in the mall and while walking.

When we were tire

When we got tired we decided to enter the mall once again and to eat something.KFC was an option. We were chatting more than an hour, watching the environment through the balcony of the mall. It was really beautiful family day on Saturday . I wish we can repeat it more often.
