I once wrote about the fact that I managed to attend one wonderful concert by the band Motanka. It all happened in Odessa. But the best concert in my life was in my hometown of Uzhhorod.
It was 2018 and the holidays were timed to coincide with the city day. That year, the band ONUKA was announced as the headliner of the holiday concert. At that time I had been listening to them for a long time, but I still couldn't get to the concert. So when I heard about this opportunity, I immediately decided to go!
For most people in the world, she became popular after the band was a guest of Eurovision. Then, their performance was at the top in terms of views, and worldwide sales of music in the relevant services jumped very much. Here is this video:
After that, the band began to give concerts abroad quite actively, so I could not miss the moment of performance in my hometown! So, mid-September. There are a few days left before my birthday and I understand that it is just a gift of fate.
I arrived in the city centre in advance to see everything that was prepared for the holiday. But the main thing I was waiting for was of course the band's performance. There was a friend with me and we decided to get closer to the stage at any cost. Fortunately, we were actively passed closer and closer.
My hands trembled with anticipation. The previous band was still performing on the stage and I really wanted them to leave the stage. Although I understand that this is wrong because there are people who were waiting for the performance of other musicians and wanted to enjoy it.
But then the fact that the mayor came on stage and spoke, it seems, for an eternity, started to infuriate me very much. However, there was a plus in this. The girls in front of us decided to leave and we got even closer to the stage.
And so, the magic began. All the lights on the stage were turned off. The text ONUKA lit up. Musicians began to appear on the stage. They started playing the melody. About two minutes later, Nata (the leader of the band) finally came out.
The first song they performed was Misto.
And then everything is like in a fog. I remember how I felt, I remember how the song of each song screamed and clapped, I remember how I sang and danced. I will not remember the list of songs that were played that evening. But they were all relatives and responded in the soul.
During the whole period of the concert, I managed to take only a few photos. It was only to believe in the morning that it was not a dream, but a reality! The quality is so-so, but the memory is incredible for me.
Do you know what was the funniest thing about that night? When the band left the stage, of course, everyone started calling them to hell. They returned 5 minutes later and performed three songs. Then they left the stage again.
But we did not stop calling them to hell again. For 20 minutes the whole crowd clapped loudly and shouted. I then broke my voice and was hoarse for a few days. The band probably didn't think about a new appearance on the stage, but since we didn't stop at all, we decided to come back and play two more songs.
They were very tired because they were incredibly active throughout the concert. However, they returned. And again they charged us with their energy.
The energy of ancient musical instruments in combination with electric music. The energy of native melodies and motives. The energy of his voice, dances, words. It was an incredible concert! And I dream of coming to the show again to break my voice once again and feel muscle pain due to crazy wild dances.

Hy, I saw that you went to a live concert of a band that participated in Eurovision in 2017, in 2019 I participated in the live semi-final of Eurovision in Romania, I mean I was in the audience.
Great entry!
