While my friends came to Da Lat for the weekend, we had so much fun just going around and explore the nature of this lovely city. So today, let's look around to see what can we do and where can we go for a short weekend in Da Lat, it is more than you can imagine.
Tuyen Lam Lake
Tuyen Lam is is a big lake that pretty far from the city center of Da Lat. If you drive from Xuan Huong lake to Tuyen Lam Lake, it will be 7km. It does not seems to far but believe me, with the puzzling road of Da Lat, it feel like forever to get there.
I honestly do not take much pictures for myself but whenever I hang out with my friends, they love taking thousands of photos. And Tuyen Lam lake is heave for you if you are one of my friends. The lake is crystal green embracing with pine trees all over around it. Most of the homestay or hotels in this area has wooden design or vintage that friendly with the environment so they does not destroy the ecosystem of the nature here. They also have so many cute coffee along the river that you can stop by to drink some hot chocolate and eat some cookies. We feel like the staffs of any restaurant in Da Lat just extra nice compared to other city, maybe because they live in an amazing weather that make them more relaxing.
Some people also choose the little wood next to Tuyen Lam lake to camp over night, they have tour company preparing for you but you can do it yourself. The most two popular activities in Tuyen Lam that everyone does (but we didn't) is kayaking or get on a tourist boat to enjoy the lake. I would love to do kayak if I knew how to swim at that time.
Visit green tea hill
You might wonder why the title of this post is "one last dance with my friends"?
It is because when we was students at university, we went to the park after school a lot. Normally it is 6pm when we're there and so many old people do dance club at the park to exercise. We're so enjoyed joining the team and dance like dumb*ss for fun. It was our routine for a while.
So when my friend came to Da Lat, we did it again and I was so happy because it feels like nothing changed.
Yeah that what I wanted to do with them but sorry guys, it was not. The title is because they just keep doing one same pose of dancing when taking pictures 😂 Is that something trendy on Tiktok?
We went to a green tea hill so my friends can keep dancing. But it was actually a nice experience since I've never been to a green tea field before. The field has a fresh smell to it that makes me want to lay down and take a nap.
Harvest strawberries and visit dried persimmon indoor house
This is the specialty of Da Lat, dried persimmon. They hang them fresh in a house with an air system to dry them. This fruit is the reason why I stay in Da Lat for a while, I could eat this happily everyday.
In case you do not know, Da Lat is the only place in Vietnam growing strawberries because they have cold weather all year. I never eat fresh strawberries until I come to Da Lat is the first time I try this fruit. They have normal strawberries and the Korean one which is quite bigger and sweeter than Dat Lat strawberries. It only cost $3 to visit the farm and pick up some strawberries to bring home. But of course the fruit is not free, you have to pay for it.
Maple House Coffee
That was a really sunny day and this is a famous traffic circle right next to Xuan Huong Lake

I think Maple has an interesting architecture design to it, with its look you already can guess the reason for its name. I do not recommend you to come here just for the coffee or food because it is not that good guys, but for a cool experience, sure.
They set up different things into Maple House, shopping and food stores, beverage, stage for live music, etc. Since this place is spacious and has so many things to try, it might take you the whole morning just to walk around. I really like the view that they got, all around you is pine trees wood.
That was a fun day for us, another day of doing nothing but exploring. I hope that the spots that I mention could give you some ideas for you next trip to Da Lat, because you will not want to miss anything.

Yea the weather in Da Lat is just perfect except of 1 raining month, we lived there for a while and really hope we can come back soon when the restrictions get loser
