Slow Sunday: Cycling, Street Food, and go to the Park

It’s finally Sunday! I don’t work full time at the moment, so I don’t actually have take day off on Sunday. But since Sunday is day off for many people, the atmosphere is always different. People take out their bicycles, put on their jogging shoes, and even prepare a ball to play in the park with their children.

I left my house at 6am. I hate it. I expect my self to be out at 5.30, which is only 30 minutes ealier😅 I think I’ve always been that kind of person, constantly beating myself up for a simple mistake. Not without reason, because often the road is already packed at six o’clock, and I hate it even more😅 but I go anyway.

I wanted to take footage of the skyscrapers in a certain area, so that’s where I went first. It was a gloomy morning, so the footage didn't turn out too well. But I continued cycling to a different area.

Heroes Monument, a historical place in Surabaya, Indonesia. This location is actually a museum, but also has a quite large garden at the front.

But first, street food. Egg roll is a must, as usual. I also bought some lumpia and then sat at the park.

Families, couples, groups of friends are fill this area. If you don’t go to the museum, there is no charge to enter this park, only need to pay for parking. But since I brought my bicycle, it was 100% free. Another free public space in a big city that is always needed. Its accesable to everyone and a great place to spend time with loved ones.

Even for me, who went there alone, it was somehow comforting to see a family smile brighter, or best friends that happily taking pictures. That's my usual weekend experience, how is yours?
