RE: Ain’t nothing you do can get to me

‘Everyone thinks they know what they would do in your shoes untill they get there’. Most often, we might see a person in a certain situation and think we can do better. ‘Oh he is just getting angry for nothing’. But when you are in the same situation, you might even be worse😂.
But in all, we learn.

Sort:

That is exactly what I am saying! “Spectators always think they can play better”. Little do they know they simply cannot. Not even a quarter as good as the players. Heck, they would simply just be worse.

I am a kind of person who does self-reflection really quickly. In fact, it is what has helped me to easily notice this particular trait about myself. Also, it helps me appreciate the effort of others. Before I conclude(judge) on someone’s actions I first of all empathize with them; what would I do if I were in their shoes? I could probably do worse.

This particular trait makes me grow quickly on a deeper personal level. It also helps me be more compassionate and I would hardly find fault in people because I know everybody has a genuine reason for acting in a certain way.

The downside to this tho is, you know in reality two people cannot both be right with different views on a single matter all the time. But in my case I will hardly find someone in the wrong. This is the reason why when two people are arguing it is hard for me to take a particular side because as they are going I see both of them make valid arguments at different points in time. So I might take a side and the next minute I agree with the other one again.

In all it is clear how important it is for one to not pass judgement or get over confident about themselves and at least wait to be tested first and not conclude on how people are not doing well enough, and just exercise patience to be in their shoes.
