in Weekend Experiences2 years ago

Weekend always get the best of you. After some tiring workaholic days, people want to relax or tend to enjoy through different ways. This weekend I met an old friend of mine and took him for a lunch again at nearby haldiram restaurant. A chain of restaurant serving differrnt meals , sweets and snacks.

Meeting this person after many years bring backs many good old memory. From playing street cricket, to study, to travel, to watching porn. We did many things together and enjoyed each other company a lot. He is gem of a person, and alwsys stand by my side and i do same too. Knowing my dad's demise and I am in city too he made an instant visit. I took him to the nearby restaurant, to spend some quality time.

It was my second visit to the place in two days. While on my first I went there to enjoy cool AC air, this time I went to enjoy delicious food. And together we ordered Masada dosas.

It is a thin, crispy baked stuffs stuffed with messed potttato. Served with some lentils, and chutney. It light meal and easily get digested. One of my favourite and quite popular in the restaurant chain.

He pays condolences to my Dad and finding me uncomfortable soon changed the topic and took me to the olden days. Revisiting the good old memory lane really makes our life happy. The naughtiness, the pamperedness, mistakes of youth and so many things that we miss out now. We shared everything. It was good fun time, we laughed a lot in between our meals. Such quality times are missing now a days as each one of us are busy in our own life and responsibility. Honestly , life does shows us so many phases.

When we were about to leave the place, I noticed this beautiful gifting ounter at one corner of the spacious floor.

This counter was just opposite to the snacks counter where I spend my Friday afternoon. This area has goodies and gifting basket. Each of them beautifully designed and packed.

These were supposed to be used to gift other. I asked my friend to choose one for his family but denied. He said no gifting in friendship. May be he know my hardship time, currently I am going through.

Anyway, It was a good afternoon time spent with my friend. A good day, where we visited our good olden days and also enjoy our favourite dish. A perfectly orchestered #sublimesunday #beautifulsunday after so many months. Hope to meet him soon again and again in coming months, to have more of our nostalgic moments.

Peace!!

It's really enjoyable to catch up with people we like and haven't seen for a while and with tasty looking food too...Now you made we want some!

I didn't know you lost your dad, sorry, please accept my condolences. I lost mine in 2020, 1st July, so it's coming up to the three year date. I miss him as you do yours.

It pretty hard to get over such loss, when you are looking after and being close to him for last 5 years. ...I am trying to get over as soon as possible...mine is only 45 days so far...nothing can replace him...

Take your time, there's no hurry.

I tell people, those we lose aren't where they used to be, they're everywhere we go because we carry them in our hearts and memories.

That's true...i still feel his presence around.

As you will for the rest of your life I think.
