PROSPECTIVE WEEKEND LINE-UP FOR THE NEW YEAR

By and large, this year, my weekends were mostly spent indoors, save for the early morning or evening visit to the football field on Saturdays.

There's nothing wrong with being indoors of course, but doing that all year round, for a young person like myself who hopes to get good experiences and make memories of his days, it shouldn't be so. Like think of it, what fun is there in working Mondays through Fridays and then staying indoors all through the weekend? I beat myself up a little when after reflecting on how the year went for me, I couldn't think of any fun memories created. There was only little social networking. It's not nice for me.

So, even before this prompt came in, I already was making plans towards how I'd want to spend the most of my free-time(the weekends) in the coming year. I'm just hoping to start small and progress with time.

First, though basic, I'll be dedicating a little time for clean up. This is not fun, I know. It came as a surprise to me that I am willing to take this up considering how I can be lazy sometimes. But two weekends ago or so, I did some deep cleaning of my space and boy, it felt so good. I was very exhausted after it but I felt all clean and super relaxed. My mind was all clear. I cannot exactly explain that feeling.

Second, I want to try out solo dates. Usually when it's talked about, I never totally get it. Cause, why not just stay home and see the movie than visit a cinema. Home is more comfortable, isn't it? Or why not order a meal and sit back at home to enjoy it than go to a restaurant. Seemed a little awkward. I've had to ponder on it a little and I see that there's a difference in not being in your comfort zone. I already am compiling a list of places I could go by. I want to experience the awkwardness how and also enjoy having fun with me and pampering myself.

Third is visiting the gym. I do exercises at home but even that is not enough. So, for the coming weekends, I'd go register at a nearby gym and get my body in better shape. There's already a set goal. I also think this is a good way to get to meet people and socialize too. This can be really fun.

Finally, I'll be taking up a hobby. I already chose which one and it's cooking. I'm below average at this. But I already started it out. What I really want to do is try out any new recipe I see. I'm bored from eating the same regular meals. I've been seeing really tasty meals pop up on my feed and since am alone and would just be cooking for myself, what's the harm in trying?? I just want to be so good that you may just start referring to me as a Chef😅.

So, basically that all and the little things I plan to do to add vibrance and fun to my weekends in the coming year. They somehow feel like a lot but am prepared to see them through. I feel very excited about each one of them. What do you think?

LEO Power Up Day - December 15, 2023

You see that solo date, it's something I would love to infuse into my weekend in the coming year. Just take myself out and connect with myself. It will bring a whole new perspective of life not every time going out with crowd😁😁

Definitely will. Do well to try it. You might just love it.

Nothing like the weekend to enjoy
