Last November 18, one of my close friends since high school got married. Her husband was our classmate in high school, but they weren't close at all. In fact, they were quite the opposite. She was the model student type while her hubby was the bad boy type. haha
We (our friend group) were quite shocked when she told us she was in a relationship with him around eight years ago. One of our friends was even against it because she didn't like the guy. lol Well, I can understand her part, but he wasn't really that bad. He was just chaotic(?). I was friends with him because of our hobbies like anime and gaming, so I knew the other side of him... so I approved. (Not that she needed it, though.)
Fast forward eight years later, they finally decided to tie the knot and I'm really happy for them. They've been through a lot of ups and downs, but they were able to get over the challenges so far.
I went to the wedding venue with my male bestie and his wife who was also our classmate and good friend in high school. My bestie belonged to another class, but we're all friends. It was also his birthday, so it was a double celebration.
When we arrived at the venue, we spotted the beautiful bride. We decided to stay in the car first and get inside the church from the side after she enters.
They were shooting, so I took behind the scenes shot. haha When she saw us, she was teary-eyed and motioned us to get closer. We talked for a bit and congratulated her. I had classes that morning and more classes at night, so I couldn't go to the party. I just wanted to witness their wedding ceremony, so I took a few hours off.
It was also my bestie's birthday, so his family couldn't go to the party either since they had other plans as well. However, our friend already knew the circumstances and she's happy to see us on their special day.
I took some behind the scene shots again after the ceremony. We greeted them again before going back home.
My best friend and his family actually went to our house before the wedding. We decided to go together, so I'm happy because I didn't have to commute by myself. haha He also brought us some food as his small birthday celebration in the house.
My parents were invited to the wedding, but because my mother's condition wasn't that good, so they decided not to. My friend and her hubby were OK with it... and also, I wore my mama's dress and my best friend wore my father's shirt. HAHAHA We didn't have outfit for the wedding that fits their motif, so parents to the rescue.
He's basically my brother, so we somehow represented my parents as well. lol They stayed for while at home, so we could bond. I played with my godchild and had ice cream together.
They had prior plans, so we bid goodbye... and as for me, I had to recharge for a couple hours, so I have enough energy for my classes later that night.
It was a great day and I'm really happy for my friends. Keep the love alive! <3
