It's the weekend and I had to work as usual, but only for a few hours. After my 2-hour class in the morning, I spent time with my mom and our furbaby Max (He's the Golden Retriever we got recently. His previous owner couldn't care for him, so we adopted him.)
My father made a bed for him in our front yard, but there were times when he tried to chew on the bed's legs, so I told my mom we should buy him some toy to chew on, instead. She asked me when and told me she wanted to go with me. :) (She hasn't gone out for quite a while.)
I had to work from 2 PM for an hour, so I told her, if her blood pressure is OK after my class, I'd take her with me. Luckily, it was... and so we went out. :) haha
We went to the nearby shopping mall to do some shopping, especially for our furbaby... and I wanted to treat her to some afternoon snacks as well. We didn't go far since I was supposed to have another class in the evening (it was canceled by my student.)
She enjoyed looking around Handyman and Daiso. She really likes window shopping and checking on stuff, especially something she could use in the kitchen. I didn't have a lot of budget, but I bought her a couple of items as well.
After getting some stuff, we decided to go to Winter Belle. It's a small shop that sells a variety of drinks and waffles. :) We ordered some yogurt tea (lychee tea with lychee bombs for mom and mango with nata for me). We got them with only 25% sugar because they're too sweet... and we're also both having some blueberry waffle sandwiches.
The last time we actually went here was before the pandemic. hahah I usually come to this particular shopping mall with my father when we need to shop in bulk for our store, but I rarely come to this place with my mom.
I noticed the security guard outside was posing. Hahah
This is so yummy... <3 And I love the blueberry filling...
This mango yogurt tea is so refreshing. Even Luffy is smiling beside it. lol
Clean... yum! We couldn't finish our drinks, so we got it to go. ^^
It was nice hanging out with mom outside the house from time to time. :) We bought some groceries before heading home... and when we were about to go out, the mall lit the SINULOG decorations outside. :)
SINULOG is the biggest festival in Cebu. Today is actually the solemn procession and tomorrow is the main event. We used to participate and go out to celebrate it, but given my mom's health condition, it's difficult and dangerous to do so. It's so hot and very crowded. I also don't like crowded places since they make me feel dizzy. XD
We're celebrating at home tomorrow, though... with the five of us, my parents, me, and our two furbabies!!!!
When we got home, our furbabies were both so happy as they welcomed us home.
We bought them some treats, toys and a comb... <3
Max really enjoyed his new toy... his tail was playfully wagging as I gave it to him.
I'm happy to see Max looking and getting healthier and happier every day. He's slowly gaining some flesh as he was sadly just skin and bones when we first got him earlier this month.
Arashi was also sleeping soundly on my father's lap. He had to go to the clinic this morning for his deworming and grooming, so he must still be a bit tired. He's so cute, though.
When we arrived, I received a message from my student that she couldn't make it to class this week... so, I took my time playing with our furbabies before having dinner.
It was a Saturday well spent. It's unlike my usual Saturdays, but I enjoyed it. I hope my mom enjoyed it, too... Did you ma @arashi0416? hahah
