Hi, weekend fans! Allow me to write about the weekend experience. I dedicate this paper to the Weekend Experiences Community founded by @galenkp.
Sunday morning, it was about 8 am; I was shocked when I opened the door to my house, which was under construction. This is my new home, whose half the cost comes from crypto. I saw a few pieces of electrical wires on the ground.
The remnants of the power cords made my mind messed up. The worst possibility I've ever imagined has finally happened. The electrical installation wiring for my house has been stolen!
The electrical wires that had been inserted into the electrical pipe were quickly pulled by thieves. Though those wires have been well connected in some corners of the wall. Somehow the thief removed the power cord.
I want to apply for a new electrical installation at the State Electricity Company. New electrical installation officers for the new home are scheduled to arrive on Monday.
I was figuring out where the thief came in. The house under construction still needs doors and windows. The door and window frames were just me closing with used zinc. It turns out that this is a fatal mistake. I never suspected before about theft because, so far, the environment there was safe.
I found a shoe tread mark. I'm sure it was a trace of the thief. He came in through the side window of my house. The used zinc was revealed when I pulled it. I've made the mistake of not providing extra security.
Only after the incident did I realise the importance of extra security for the house under construction. I nailed a thick board to close the gaps in each frame.
News of the cable thief was widespread. The neighbours who were in my house were shocked. He confessed that he only fell asleep around 4 am. He didn't hear the noise coming from my house. But it rained heavily last night. Perhaps the thief knew when he committed his evil act.
The stolen cable is an NYA-type cable commonly used for home electrical installations in Indonesia. This cable is coated with PVC protection and has a diameter between 1.5 and 2.5 millimetres. Well, what the thief wants is brass or copper from the wire. The larger the diameter, the more expensive the selling value of the cable in the junk shelter.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of the property. I have bought as many as four cable rolls. Each roll has a length of 100 meters. The price of each registration is IDR 870,000 (USD 57.63). So, the property loss I experienced was IDR 3,480,000 (USD 230.54). The cost of electrical installation is IDR 2,500,000 (USD 165.62). The total loss was IDR 5,980,000 (USD 396.16).
Although I am unfortunate, I have not made a report to the police. Because the incident is also my fault. I'm too sure that the neighbourhood is free of thieves, so it doesn't provide extra security to homes under construction.
This is a lesson to all of us on how critical extra safeguards are. Remember! Crime does not happen because of the perpetrator's intention but because of an opportunity (Quote by Bang Napi).
When I finished writing this story, the clock on the wall showed 11:05 pm. I turned off the laptop and went to sleep.
The #weekend-engagement concept is a set of topics I release every Friday for people to respond to in a post. This post of yours doesn't answer any of this weeks topics (released last Friday) on this post: https://peakd.com/hive-168869/@galenkp/weekend-engagement-writing-prompts-week-139
New topics are release each Friday.
Ok, thank you for your response 😉😆
That's ok, it's an easy mistake to make considering there's so many entries all tagged #weekend-engagement over the weekend.
If you want to be involved that's ok, just wait for the topics to come out on a Friday and you have all weekend to get an entry in.
I'll be looking forward to this Friday
Great, I just wrote the topics. I hope there's something you like.
Yay! 🤗
