Week 229 : social queries and thoughts

Hello everyone! I will try to describe my thoughts, to the best of my limited English capabilities, on a couple of this week's themes

-What are three things you love about the opposite gender and why? Be specific. Use your own photos

I live in a rather conservative society. Or to be more precise, I was brought up in a conservative society; nowadays there aren’t so many ethical restrictions as in the old days. Therefore, growing up as a girl in Athens of '80s decade, was somewhat challenging as girls were not as free as boys, they were supposed to get married and if possible have a dowry. For a family it was better to have boys than girls as boys could help in the family business or bring money to the table, and needn’t have to have a fortune. The girl to be married to should have a fortune. Also, it was a good asset for a girl to have education in order to be able to support herself and not be dependent on a man – who wasn’t supposed to have education either.

Therefore, those social ethics have somewhat stuck with me over the years and although now things are different, in my mind, if I ever had a child I would prefer it to be a boy in order to be more free of social conventions, be able to decide for himself and send everyone who told him what to do to h..ll!

Another thing I admire about men is their physical strength. Men can do jobs that women can’t. I admire that. I hate being weaker because of my chromosomes.

Nonetheless… I am not weaker only due to my chromosomes. In today’s world of business, most senior level seats are covered by men. And this is not due to chromosomes. Most senior positions in almost all professions are covered by men. I interpret this as men are considered to be less sentimental. They are more focused to the result and how to get there. Despite this is not true in my opinion, as women demonstrate these qualities too, the trend is that “this is a man’s world” and although the tendency seems to be changing, change is slow.

-Would you trade sexual favours to pay a debt? (Meaning, fuck someone to pay off a debt you own them.) Explain. Use your own photos

Although unethical, I would say possibly yes, if I liked the person to whom the favor would be served. Who wouldn’t do a favor to Brad Pitt?

I think that we all at some point become “prostitutes” for some reason: be it professional, to get a job done, even when getting married. I mean that we somehow subside on our wishes and ethics to get something move to the direction we wish; and this is more obvious in poor societies or low social classes. Who hasn’t flirted a little to get something done quickly and easily?

So why should sex be different? Just saying - and trying to convince myself.
