Travelling Back to Muntinlupa for Annual Physical Exam | A Tiring Saturday

It's the time of the year again for the annual physical examination in our company. As mandated by the government, every year we are required to complete the said exam to ensure that each employee is physically fit for the job.

I have a love-and-hate relationship with the said examination. I love it because I can leave our place and travel back to Manila and I hate it because commuting to the venue will take me three to four hours of travel time.

I ended my Friday shift at work at 04:00 AM Saturday. After sending all the urgent emails and endorsements, I said goodbye in the group message and mentioned that we would likely meet again in the morning.

Contemplating whether I will leave our home immediately or if I wait until the sun is up, something I had a hard time thinking of. The place where I am is a quiet place compared to where I am raised. However, I have some reservations as stray dogs are wandering during this time too.

If I leave later that time for sure, I will miss the appointment scheduled as it is 8:00 in the morning. Without choice but to leave, I bid goodbye in our house and walked in the not-so-well-lit streets.

There are dogs around, some are barking and some are sniffing me while walking outside. I just walked casually as this will be the best course of action that I should do with the situation. Running may endanger and if I retaliate, I will be on the receiving end. I did not take a picture of that because why should I? I need to leave the place the soonest haha!

It is a good thing, there's a jeepney that is in the waiting shed. I was able to secure a ride and arrived at my next drop-off point.

04:59 AM I rode a bus going to Muntinlupa. They only have a few passengers onboard. I was expecting this scenario as it is still early and there's no holiday involved yet.

It is an air-conditioned bus, and the backrest is quite good as there's a cushion to where I can rest my head; I tried to adjust the seat as comfortably as it can be so that I can try to take a nap, but unfortunately, caffeine already hit my system.

I just looked outside the window, trying to take some decent shots but since the bus is moving I wasn't able to secure some.

Saturday, they played old songs on the bus to keep the passengers entertained. I loved their lineup as it is something that I listen to during work. This time, I was singing and looking out the window at a typical music video vibe.

05:32 AM I reached Sto. Tomas Batangas, I sent a message to the Hiveph server saying good morning and tagged @lhes, well she is from the place but I do think that Sto. Tomas is quite far from her location still and most likely she is in Manila during this time. A few passengers left the bus and I think we are just less than ten riding it. I am at the backside of the bus hence I have a good view of the people sitting in front. My stomach's already rumbling but I need to endure. I am still far from Muntinlupa and there are no vendors selling their stuff yet.

06:05 AM we arrived at Brgy. Turbina Calamba is somewhat of a grand terminal for people who want to go further south. Quezon province buses, Bicol and Nueva Ecija route can be found. The driver informed us that we will be taking a short pee break. Not feeling to take a leak, I stand-up and stretched for a while. Sellers hopped inside the bus selling their goods, buko pie, shingaling, cassave chips, burgers etc. I am not feeling the hunger anymore this time so I didn't buy anything from the sellers.

We are almost half of the journey, and from here travel will be faster since we will be taking the South Luzon expressway.

06:26 AM Muntinlupa City the place remains the same. The sun's heat is still okay and the smug isn't that much since it is still considered early morning.

My appointment schedule is at eight in the morning since it is still early I decided to walk my way to the clinic. I was hoping that I see some familiar faces while I am walking unfortunately I did not.

The majority of call center representatives in the area are already working in their office and since it is just around 7:00 AM, people which are called mid-shifters are already leaving the premises. At this point, I felt grateful because our office still allows us to work remotely versus the other centers that I had worked with. I can only imagine the travel time that the regular employees are allocating each day :(

I entered the clinic premises at around 7:15 AM got called and processed all the necessary test in the area. Unfortunately, I had a hard time with the last test which is fecalysis. I drank coffee but my stomach's not rumbling thus I drank cafe mocha and it worked magically.

Since @cli4d is within the area, I informed him firsthand that I will be in Muntinlupa and offered a mini meet-up he said yes, and told him that once I finish my test we will see each other in Festival Mall.

After meeting with Ford, I embarked on my journey to go home. It started to rain and was forced to buy a new umbrella.

Traveling to Muntinlupa was easy, but traveling back home isn't as it is raining plus many people are along the way during the weekend. I just stared in the window, read some manga, and reached San Pablo around 4:30 PM.

April advised that I should buy some viand as we already have cooked rice and when asked she said that we can just try the roasted chicken. Dyn-dyn's allergy already subsided and we are starting to introduce chicken to our diet since last week slowly.

To wrap the tiring journey on a sweet note since I saw a cotton candy seller I decided to buy one for Dyn-Dyn as a pasalubong.

After reaching home and taking a quick bath I told April that I will be sleeping for a while as I already hit the 24-hour mark of being awake since I started working at around six in the evening Friday.

All photos are taken from my smartphone camera and for the meet-up post with Ford a separate post will be created

Haha fecalysis has always been my weakness. I mean who has the time and control to do that at the given timeframe? 😅with also the pressure you feel adds to the stress🤣

Actually that was the problem that I had! Haha 4x I tried to take a dump three times I got interrupted and being knocked on. Hirap kaya mag focus kahit small piece wala pressure talaga yung katok from other users.

Nice to meet you kuya TP! I learned a lot and I had fun from our short chikahan hahaha. Kitakits ulit sa Hive meetup :))

Yay! See you sround Ford for more chika sesh!

Waaah 25 mins away lang ako sa Sto. Tomas 😅 Sayang! Hahaha. Glad your day worked out okayyy

Wow nice ikaw pala ang mas malapit sa area. Next time that I visit I will inform you kung around ka lang.
