A weekend full of activities

Hello everyone

The first topic of this weekend caught my attention and that is to share with you what I did last weekend.

Last weekend we did two very interesting activities, I think, the first activity was the first outdoor outing (but I can't write about it anymore because I've already uploaded a blog which you can find here) for the year 2025 and the second activity was to walk around the city a bit and more to visit a place I've been wanting to visit for a while.

The first days of 2025 weren't too friendly so once the first weekend and nice weather arrived we couldn't wait to get out.

Let's visit the Water Tower in Arad.

Many times I passed through this neighborhood of the city and I saw the Water Tower from afar and I really wanted to see it up close.

So last weekend I visited the Water Tower in Arad.

The water tower built years ago was used to supply the city with water, at the top of the tower there is a basin with a large storage capacity (about 300 cubic meters), the tower is 35 meters high.

From what I read the Water Tower functioned until 1956 and since 1990 it was reclaimed and went to an individual, and today the Water Tower houses a water museum, I was honestly curious about that museum.

So I parked the car far enough away from this place that I couldn't find any closer, walked through the Reconciliation Park and then entered the Ceaikowski Street and in just a few moments I was in front of the Water Tower.

Here the surprise, the tower was closed even so I took a few pictures, to be honest at first glance the tower seemed deserted.

However, I noticed the amazing architecture, stone and brick were used in its construction, but the door looks spectacular as well as the windows (let the pictures speak for themselves).

Is it open for public viewing inside? Just curious how it looks inside, though. Anyway, the building is amazing and sturdy, it still stands up until today.

Unfortunately, it is not open to be visited inside, and yes, I think the inside is even more spectacular than the outside, more inside there is also a water museum.

Great post! Loved the detailed description and photos of the Water Tower. The architecture is stunning—thanks for sharing your experience!

I am so glad you liked this building and thank you for stopping by.

Have a wonderful weekend.

🥰

An enigma. Interesting walk. I want to know more about that place. Thanks for sharing it.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and yes, I would have liked to be able to explore the interior because there is also a water museum inside, sounds interesting doesn't it.

Without a doubt the photographs speak for themselves, the place looks impressive, I hope to be able to see what it looks like on the inside. Very good contribution.

I'm very glad you liked it and thank you for stopping by, unfortunately you can't visit the interior during this period, but it is certainly beautiful inside because there is also a water museum.
