I'm the only one here! - WE86 - Imagination

Hi friends,

How are you today?

Option two: Solitary
After a cataclysmic event you are the only human being left alive on the planet. What does your life look like, how do you stay alive, how do you cope with a solitary existence and how do you feel you would cope physically and emotionally with the prospect of never seeing or hearing another human being again until the day you die?

First of all I want to thank @galenkp, for this weekend's topic.

This weekend's topic is a sensational one that involves a lot of imagination but also skills.

About 23 minutes ago I woke up from sleep with an announcement on the radio, being very sleepy I didn't really understand what it was about.

After a while I realize that the announcement had been running continuously for some time.

My first reaction was that maybe the radio people were pranking someone, but seeing that the ad kept playing on the radio I decided to get out of the house.

Already being in the middle of the street and knowing the neighborhood I live in is a very hectic and crowded one, but now no one even makes a sound, nothing.

It's already getting very strange and I start to give a phone to a friend, but guess what the cell phone wasn't working.

I go and knock on the neighbors door, and here no one looks like everyone left in a hurry.
And I thought I lived in the safest place on the planet.

I take my personal car and go into town to see what's going on, and here, surprise, absolutely nobody, all the neighborhoods, all the shops, the streets are empty, nobody.

My first reaction is ,, DON'T PANIC,,.

Realising that I am the sole survivor, caught in the web of 21st century technology, having to make do in a world where no service is provided. The water stops flowing from the taps, the electricity is cut off.

In order to survive, a human needs, first of all, water, food and shelter.

I'm still wandering around the city and the picture of the city keeps changing, a slimy yellowish-green mist hovering around the grey blocks that lay among the piles of petrified waste.

A black cloud was scattered covering the Sun and darkening every inch of planet Earth, we begin to lose sight remember the glow of the Sun, no longer know what it's like to breathe the fresh air of in the morning.

The only thing I could smell very well was the cadaverous smell that reigned everywhere.

I started wearing a mask, having worn it for a very long time, it was already starting to stick to my face, it was already starting to be part of me, as if I was born with a mask on my face.

Attitude is everything!

It is the main ingredient that will determine what lifestyle you will live from now on as the only inhabitant of the planet. Attitude is what determines the altitude you want to reach in all aspects of your life from now on.

Take good care of it, the way you educate it, because it is the one that shapes your life and your future.
After a while I got used to the thought of being only one on the whole planet, and from here with my psyche up I started thinking survival strategy.

First of all I decided to retreat somewhere in the forest, which would be on the outskirts of a town, to have at least a source of spring water and where I could also improve my food preparation with what I had in the area, I had no choice having no other sources of food as before the cataclysm, I had to manage somehow, and if loneliness will not kill me the lack of food will not either.

And so the hours, days, months, years went by and I was still alone, the city I grew up in looks like the jungle I live in, almost nothing in the city is recognizable, everything is overgrown with vegetation, there are even areas where you can't enter because of the vegetation.

Not for one second did I fall into depression because of loneliness because I applied the method I know, ATTITUDE and DON'T PANIC.

I think one of the best pieces of advice I could say now at the end of the blog is to keep a little gratitude journal, and be grateful for every good thing in your life.

Thank you in advance for your upvote, appreciation and advice.

The text and photos above are my own.

Great post, and I'm glad you chose option two. I'm going to write my own post for this option tomorrow I think. Thanks for being involved and choosing what I think is such an interesting topic.

Absolutely all weekend topics are sensational, but this one was wow, no words.
Glad I can be part of the community and contribute something around here.
These days I've been feeling a bit sick, I have to go to the doctor in the morning because I have an appointment, and about option number two I think I could have developed a bit more, but for medical reasons that's all I could.
Thank you so much for your support and appreciation.

I hope all is well with the doctors visit in the morning. Good luck and happy weekend.

What an interesting concept! I don't know how long I would want to live 100% alone in the world, but I would keep on going just in case there was someone else...I'd have to find a house with solar power, because I like electricity and air conditioning...but man, that would be rough! Thanks for sharing-I think I'll have to find the options and post something, too...

Magnificent publication, very creative and catching reading

Thank you very much for your appreciation.
