The role of financial education right from the start
This time I will come straight to the point, which is a very important one from what I have observed lately.
First of all, I want to tell you that I've only been a father for three days and I haven't yet had the opportunity to financially educate my child, but I can tell you what I will do when he reaches the age where he will understand what financial education means.
To be able to offer a financial education, I have to understand what it means first of all, namely that I can be a good example to educate my child to follow me.
And yes, through this financial education I can manage all my income and my wife's income for a longer term, you know, our incomes have not always been above average, this forced us to manage our incomes responsibly to manage for the long term, and now that we are also new parents we need to reevaluate our income management to make it efficient.
I have to admit that before we had a financial education to help us manage our incomes, we had financial periods on the edge, but we got through them.
And yes, the financial education of our children is first and foremost our responsibility as parents, we must be the cornerstone of our children's efforts in this society.
As for school, here I have some frustrations, Romania failed this exam (it's a nice word, honestly I thought of a much uglier one).
I am on the board of two schools in my area and have experienced first hand the shortcomings of education here, but on the other hand, I am optimistic that the school is heading in the right direction.
The most encouraging thing I've discovered recently is that financial education classes have been introduced in the early years of school and, yes, I think in a few years we will have much more responsible children.
After all, nobody is born learned, so I believe that when it comes to our children and financial education we can educate each other.
THE END!

Three days? Specifically three days? No, five, now, maybe. Oh, if so, congratulations!
I am sure you will get him or her on the right track in personal finance. 😀
Yes, even I can't believe I've only been a dad for a few days, but dreams have come true and the three of us are trying to make the most of our time together😊
From what I know, the school system in most countries don't address this issue very well. They run classes called economics and yet don't do any education around the practicalities of the subject in real life leaving kids woefully ill-prepared for what will come. Having said that, I think any schooling around it should augment what parents have already taught and that parents have a responsibility to teach their children in this matter and others, not leave it to the schools.

Thank you very much for the constructive comment left here and yes, the education system in many countries both in Romania and in many countries has many minuses when it comes to financial education.
As I wrote in my post, I believe that the role of parents in children's financial education is essential, it is the cornerstone for children to know and value family income.
