I awoke not long after sunrise, arose from my bed and walked outside to find the sky heavy with clouds and a lot of moisture in the air. Rain was promised for today and it certainly looked like it was going to happen. After standing barefoot on the earth for a while, I took myself back inside.
My girls were still asleep, so I decided to lie down in my bed again, it was Sunday after all. Before I knew it, I was asleep. Three hours later, I awoke. I can't remember the last time I done for myself, it felt really good and a wonderful way to restart my day.
Outside it was still really overcast, but no rain had fallen. We had some good rainfall in December, but more would definitely be welcome. I done the usual morning chores. Then came outside to try and organise our space.
Since we have moved to this spot, I am not so happy with the outdoor space. But I have been super busy of late, leaving me with no time to improve it. Until today, that is. I focused on tidying up and moving some of the couches to a better spot, a better spot for now anyhow.
It wasn't long until I was joined by one of our animal friends. This is Treea, who came to us 7 and a half years ago when she was a kitten. We called her Treea, because she spend most of her time in the trees. I think she felt safer their because there were quite a lot of dogs around,
She always, comes to find me when I am outside. I hear her, before I see her. Her meow is pretty loud. She has even tried to follow me into town before. She is very vocal and affectionate. She has started to show her age now though, having a white spot appear just above her mouth.
This is one of Freya's favourite spots, on the couch.( I don't think she was very impressed with me taking a photo of her, she much prefers, when I am petting her) She is also getting old and I try to not spend time imagining what my life will be like, when she is no longer around. But it has been on my mind of late, as my neighbors elderly dog passed away recently.
She is the best dog, such a wonderful companion for me and my girls. One of my friends, calls her Nanny Dog, which for those of you who don't know, she is the dog from Peter Pan, who really looks after the children and family as a whole. Which Freya certainly does.
Today was more about moving things to where I want them to rest. Like the bath above. It needs to be elevated on Rocks again and then I need to create a screen around it, so that we can have some privacy. I sure miss, bathing under the night sky.
In the end, the rain never came ( well, not yet anyhow). But I had quite a productive day. These last few weeks, I seem to not have many days at home, where I could actually get things done. Between feeling unwell, looking after my girls who were also unwell, or just out doing jobs and preparing for the wedding that happened earlier in the week.
So it felt really good, to have time to move at my own pace, letting my day just flow.

Freya is super sweet! Her eyes say it all :) Treea is so cute, too. Animals are the best we could have as humanity.
It's funny, but my shoulders relaxed when I read you had an extra 3hour sleep, I guess I need it :)
She is just the best dog ever, but I know all of us who have dogs feel the same, but she really is amazing. I hope you are well @traisto xxxx
