Imagine you were to see someone you were attracted to across the room at a bar this weekend and want to strike up a conversation - What do you do and why...
As soon as I read the above prompt, it had me blushing as if I was actually at a bar, stealing glances at my crush. ☺️
Well, while I don't have any particular person in mind as I type this, I can imagine my ideal man. My Knight in shining armour. =D
Okay, lemme get into it and stop drooling over an imagination.
I'm flirtatious. But not in a bad way. Lol. I tend to get someone I like notice me first and be sure he won't brush me off before I make my move so, I'd sit somewhere strategic. Steal glances, put on a seeminly shy smile and stare for a few seconds at intervals.
If he comes off as not interested, even in the slightest, I'd keep my cool and not look again, at all.
If however, he has a pleasant look about his face when our eyes meet, if he looks away the first time but looks again, if he so much as holds a gaze for 2 seconds, ooouu, I'd take my time for a bit, maybe 1minute without looking and acting busy, then I'd walk up to him.
° I would walk up to him because I like to take action. I like to be at the front lines, effecting changes according to my desires/needs. Of course, when they're not beyond my control.
When I get to him, I'd say, "Hello." Hello because it sounds more formal than hi. I hope that makes sense, haha. I'd then ask if he was with someone with a serious face. It'll go like this:
Hello. I'm sorry to be a bother but, are you waiting for someone?
I'd very much like if his answer was in the affirmative, because then he wouldn't look like he just came there out of loneliness or for no important reason. Don't ask me why, long story. If he said yes, I'd be like:
Oh, please pardon me but, business or pleasure?
I have no idea what I'd prefer he says but I think if he were to be there for business, he'd be open to talking. Otherwise, it might look inappropriate when his date gets there. Let's go with the former. When his colleague(s) get there, we'd be given a minute or two to "finish up" and that'd be cool.
Putting on that serious face is a strategy. It'd give him the wrong impression, or at least have him confused and guessing for a bit. And then when I take a seat (if he permits it), settle down, and start off with an-attempt-at-humour question, he'd let his guard down and be more welcoming. Questions like, "so why were you stealing glances at me?" or, I'm here on a secret recruiting mission, are you trustworthy?" or whatever silly Q/statement comes into my head, wearing a mischievous face. I believe things would kick off if he chuckles or retorts defensively. XD
