I’ve only recently joined #TheWeekendCommunity after I saw an amazing post and weekend prompt and it already seems so rewarding to read and discover amazing things from other hiveans around the globe. Just when I thought of how to begin my weekend, I realized another unique contest from #TheWeekendcommunity, at that instant I knew I have discovered a perfect way to begin my holiday. Of all the options given, I fell so much in love with question three, so here we go.
If ever I have the opportunity to travel or transport myself to a natural and neutral environment other than my country, then I will love to visit Italy, trust me I have a thousand and one reason and I have long desired to visit this place.
WHY ITALY?
Firstly, I would want to talk about some amazing and fantasizing things about Italy that makes me envisage a vacation there. Now have you ever imagined standing before a free wine fountain? Like you don’t have to pay to have a sip of red wine, I really want to see what the free wine fountain in caldari di ortona (I hope I got the spelling right) looks like, would love to stare at the fountain flow for 24hrs non-stop and drink from the city which produces the best wine, trust me I don’t know what my reactions would be.
Secondly, Italy has the best pizza in the world and as a food lover and a chef, I want to learn how it is made and have a taste of class so that upon my return, I would recreate it and guess what, I’ll call it “The Italian Naples in Nigerian Pizza”. I would equally learn how to prepare the Italian pasta recipes because I have heard it repeatedly that the best pasta is served in Italy ranging from the creamy cardonara to the classic spaghetti Bolognese. The Italians have over 2,500 types of cheese, oh! How I love cheese. I bet you, I’ll have a full book of Italian recipes and dishes.

There are over 1,500 lakes in Italy and I want to visit all of them, I equally want to see all the active volcanos, the smallest country called Vatican in Italy, the hills and mountains, the Trevi fountain where tourist throw in millions of coin for luck and of course to sit under the older folks to tap their wisdom and blessings. It is said that one of the facts about the Italian city is that it has a large population of grey hair and in Nigeria, wisdom is attributed to the older people.
I would also love to learn a new language though I can’t boost of being able to achieve that within two weeks but I’ll sure learn a word or two from them. There are lot of things to write about this dream country of mine but at this point, I’ll love to talk about the one special person that I’ll will love to go with on this trip.
WHO WOULD YOU GO WITH
Of course, I would love to go there with my Husband. Not just for the purpose of honey-moon but to spend so much time with the one person who means the world to me. I want to visit all of those places and be warmly curdled by him, to share the joy, laughter and to ensure that we are part of each other’s memorable trip. There, I will be called his Italian bride... I’m not married yet but this are my dreams and I trust they’ll come true someday.

Great choice. Italy seems to have it all. Ancient history, natural beautyies, and amazing food. I'd like to go there some day too.
