Hello friends in Weekend Experiences Community, weekends with the family visiting new tourist attractions is a very enjoyable thing. Last weekend, our family and I visited Lake Toba, the largest lake in Southeast Asia and the second largest lake in the world. In the middle of Lake Toba there is a beautiful island, Samosir Island. We will visit Samosir Island. Samosir Island is mostly inhabited by the Toba Batak tribe. On the island of Samosir there are many traditional Batak buildings and tourist attractions with extraordinary views. We will cross using a ferry.
I will tell you about the excitement of our family trip to Lake Toba. We left the city of Medan at 22.00 WIB and arrived at Lake Toba at 04.00 WIB. We left by driving a private car and my husband was driving. Since this was a sightseeing trip, we weren't in a hurry, we enjoyed the scenery along the way. Several times we stopped to rest and enjoy culinary delights on the way.
After resting, we headed to Ajibata port to Ambarita port, before entering the ship, we will buy tickets in advance, tickets can be ordered online.
The clock still shows 08.10 WIB, after getting tickets to cross by boat to Ambarita port, we have to wait at the port, the ship that will take us will depart at 09.00 WIB from Ajibata port to Ambarita port. The cost we have to pay to cross one car and 5 people is 230 thousand rupiah.
After waiting for about 25 minutes, finally the ship we were waiting for came, the children were very happy, because they had never been on a ship before.
The officer called the passengers to immediately enter the ship, we immediately entered the ship.
We headed to the deck on the 3rd floor, the view on the 3rd floor is more spacious than on the 2nd floor.
The ship began to walk slowly leaving the port of Ajibata, the beautiful view of Lake Toba began to appear.
There are also snacks on the ferry boat that sell snacks, the weather is sunny with a cool climate, making us feel hungry, we ordered pop noodles. Enjoying warm pop noodles with fresh broth, plus a beautiful view of Lake Toba, makes simple food taste even more delicious, especially when the ship moves slowly with a gentle breeze.
Because we bought pop noodles on the boat, the price of pop noodles that I normally buy at 5,000 rupiahs, became 10,000 rupiahs.
After 50 minutes of crossing by boat, we finally arrived at Ambarita Port. Buildings with the characteristics of the Batak tribe began to be seen along the way.
We have booked a hotel online in Ambaroba, the cost of staying at the Ambaroba hotel is 350 thousand rupiah per night.
The view of Lake Toba from the Ambaroba hotel looks amazing. I can't stop taking some photos. Seen several people are enjoying the game of banana boots. They looked very happy enjoying the fresh water of Lake Toba.
Such is the journey of our extraordinary family. This is an extraordinary weekend experience, because my husband and children can finally enjoy the beauty of Lake Toba.
Thank you for reading my post.
All the photos I took with the Realme GT master Limited edition 5G camera.
