I feel like I'm simply another female who travels around with a handbag. As you can guess, I always have stuff you don't anticipate, so I'm the kind of person you'd want to be with anywhere you are. Others have compared me to a Girl Scout since I'm always prepared. How I wish I had really joined the Girl Scouts, but sadly, I never had the opportunity when I was younger. However, before we stray too far from my theme of choice for this 149th writing prompt created by @galenkp, allow me to share with you the item that I almost always bring with me everywhere I travel.
Tada! It's just a pen. Pen-pen de sara-pen..
Even though it seems to be easy to you, I use this pen for a variety of things, and I can assure you that it has the potential to save lives!
To begin with, I always have a pen in my backpack when I leave the home. It started during the pandemic era, when people were banned from lending things, particularly when entering establishments and signing attendance forms proving that they went to that place. Before that, I always forgot to bring a pen and I was always stopped by the guards because they were forced to lend me their pen. I remember the time I went to my son's school to get his modules and I had to fill out the forms the homeroom teacher gave me. Because I didn't have a pen, I borrowed it from him, but before he lent me his pen, he gave me various sermons.
Since then, all my bags have a ballpoint pen within.
Pen is very useful to me because I always write things that I always forget. Since I'm too lazy to bring paper, I can write it on my hand. I'm glad it doesn't erase since my hands don't have spasm. Another reason why pen is so essential for me is because this can be my life support, especially every time I come home at night. As you are aware, I reside in the city, and horrible individuals may be found anywhere. Because self-defense equipment is pricey, I rely on a basic pen that is inexpensive in this situation. By the way, I want a ballpoint pen whose cap is not hard to take off so that if I ever need it, I may stab any demon who bothers or harms me. Fortunately, I have never utilized the pen as a means of survival, and if I did, I'm certain that anxiety would rule my every move.
Anyways, this is my entry for this week's writing suggestion. I hope that I entertained you even a little.

Pens are very very useful items and need to be carried everywhere. And for sure, it can come in handy whenever you need to defend yourself from "demons"

A pen is really useful to carry it always in our bag, I thought the same as you when I read the proposal, only I did not carry out the idea. The best thing about it is that it doesn't take up much space and it's light.
I always have a pen in my bag, as well as a mini pad to have a place to write, since they taught me not to scratch my hand, but it never crossed my mind to use it as a knife😱😅
Ahahahaahaha you can use it if ever you need it as self defense. 😅😅
